I got one of the regular (single DVI input) ones for under $400 off eBay with a eBay Square Trade 3 years warranty a few weeks ago. Arrived in less than a week. don't care about dead pixel with such a dense display but was glad that there was no stuck bright pixel (would be much more distracting). N... |

I was getting long freezes with HD activity and the DVD light blinking. Rebooted and the DVD failed to be reconized. Tried to scandisk but got quick BSOD and shutdown. BIOS showed DVD drive vender as some garbage entry and then the drive failed to reconize in XP. Reboot, scandisked, drive vendor no... |

Unfortunately. although there are 4 ports on most ATI cards. only 3 can be used at the same time. The HDMI port will not work while other ports are active since it has HDCP for content protection. Your best bet without going to a 2nd card would be to use one of the USB monitor like a Mimo for the in... |

I have a GTS 250 (512MB). Circumstances beyond my control made it a faulty GTS 250 with a limited lifespan. So I think it would be wise to keep an eye out for potential replacements. Power usage is critical here. Besides getting another GTS 250 (512MB) are there any other NVIDIA cards that have low... |

Is one better to use than the other?

No, only time you need HDMI is if you are using your PC as a HTPC and or you are doing Blu-ray playback. |

Okay, so I was able to play Starcraft 2 just yesterday at a friends house. I stayed there pretty much until I beat the game. So I have a few comments. Let me mention that I played the original StarCraft a lot! I replayed the campaign missions regularly and loved playing via LAN with my friends. I r... |

The campaign isnt very long then? There are 29 mission in the single player mode. you'll only do 26 of them in a run through (decision tree), Save your game before making the hard decision and then you can try the other 3 later for different outcome. There are also some hidden/optional objectives t... |

[quote]But that's probably why you will never see that feature in SC2. Being such a competitive game that it is (at least internationally). Any feature that would give a player that much more situation awareness will not be included. Guess they might come up with a way to enable it for single playe... |

Eye candy? There is no change at all to textures, models, effects, or anything typically associated with that term. The increased FOV is a functional difference and makes only one significant change: allowing more time to be spent controlling units and core gameplay mechanics by greatly reducing th... |

[quote]I hate to say it but not buying a excellent game because it does not support some niche product (eyefinity and triplehead are definitely niche) is so stupid. 5 Feet for a 46" 1080P set is totally workable as you can see in these chart. If fact you won't want to be much more than 6 feet away for optimal viewing 1080P contents. http://hdguru.com/wp-content/uploads/2006/11/hdtv_distance_chart.pdf http://hd.engadget.com/2006/12/09/1080p-charted-viewing-dista... |
