seta r_customHeight "720" seta r_customWidth "1280" seta r_mode "-1" seta r_aspectRatio "1" seta g_fov "95" You should leave g_fov alone. Since r_aspectRatio was added with v1.1 patch, there's no need to alter FOV in DOOM3. Plus, DOOM3 has 90 degrees of FOV at 4:3 aspect ratio by default. So, for 1... |

I have WoW working fine on my 23" ACD at 1920 x 1600 rez First of all, let's get the numbers straight. It's 1920x1200. Is this typical of widescreen gaming? I have a Geforce 5950 Ultra w/256MB and my monitor is connected thru a DVI port No, it's not. I get 65~100+ FPS with my X800XT PE, and FX-55 a... |

1280x768 is 16:9 ratio ;)
1280x720 is 16:9 AR. Not 768. |

No, this is not solution. I checked out Dawn of War yesterday. The problem is FOV value remains constant even though resolution is changed to widescreen. This means that the top, and bottom of image are cropped resulting in actual FOV decrease when aspect ratio is changed to widescreen. Unless there... |

Ok, i got it to work by editing the local.ini and w40k.ini files and setting the res to 1680X1050 (native for my LCD) but now it seems as tho I cannot scroll the camera out as far as i could before, like the zoom level for maximum out is closer than it should be. Any idea's? Did you find, and chang... |

Yeah. It uses LG-Philips 16ms Super-IPS panel. It finally replaced my good'ol SONY GDM-FW900 CRT (this was considered to be one of the best production direct-view CRT). :) |

Yeah, Call of Duty as well as Quake 3 forces defaults FOV (80, and 90 respectively) in multiplayer mode for even playing field. There is no way around it. I know... developer should allow proportional FOV change upto 16:9 widescreen ratio in multiplayer games. But remember those two games (Qu... |

X-ray Doc, Yeah... like you, this FOV has been bugging me for sometime. End user can alter FOV to whichever value she/he wants. But I'd like to see it the way it's meant to be seen as "designers' intentions". So, I wanted to figure out how to calculate the *correct*, and *proportional* FOV for diffe... |

Is the FOV setting a linear function across the width of a screen? If so, I would think the best way to set the new 16:9 FOV would be to simply multiply the default value by 1.33. (16:9 = 5.33:3, 5.33 / 4 = 1.33) This would expand the desktop horizontally but keep circles perfectly round and other ... |
