If you already have NV Surround, and like how it works, no point switching camps.
Get the card with the most vRAM you can, preferably a 770, or 780, or Ti. The Titan isn't that great anymore compared to the 780Ti. |

| Being a long term AMD fanboy in terms of graphics hardware, I personally think that nV really hit the nail on the head with the 600 series. My money would be on a 4GB 670 any day of the week, although the 7950 does offer fairly reasonable value too IMO. |

| If you want to build on a platform over time, move over to an Ivy Bridge (3000 series) Intel CPU and board. The 3570K is pretty good and any Z77 board would be good. You will get 2x PCI-e 3.0 sockets, and overclockability from the K series chip. Performance on the Intel platform will be a lot better... |

| You can get a 120Hz 1440P screen, the 2B Catleaps can run at that res. Using later nV cards, I have seen them run up to 132Hz. | Make sure anti-aliasing is turned off, and I seem to remember BF3 being a FPS hog with Ambient Occlusion, try setting that to off, and see if things improve. Also, using Ultra in BF3 puts 4xMSAA on in game, so running at High will increase FPS a lot. |

Money isn’t really an issue
Get the 680.
But for my money the 670 is the better buy, you can put the saved money towards 770, 870, whatever it is in the future, or SSD, or whatever :) |

| Get the 3570 Intel system. Hyperthreading rarely does anything for gaming, so put the saved money towards a sound card or something similar. Or a good cooler, something like a H80 Corsair would be good. You could also get a 2500K, they generally overclock about the same, and they can be cooled easie... |

Might be best with a pair of GTX670s? And then maybe incorporate a new motherboard and CPU and RAM into the upgrade? The Phenom II was never really that fast.

1) What is the most intensive game you want to play?

| Yes, because they say it is the difference between sandy and ivy bridge, the ONLY way to test if PCI-e 2.0 is really holding the card back is to use a PCI-e 2.0 interface and make it spit out more bandwidth. His card is a PCI-e 3.0 card being driven from a 2500K on a Z68 board, which are both PCI-e 2.0
I was personally interested if you fed the 7950 more bandwidth from the PCI-e slot if you would get more bang for buck than just overclocking the CPU, but seems you don't wanna do that! |
