| The game is fun to be sure, however I am not being sucked in like I was hoping. It has had a couple of moments of keeping me on my toes, but other than that, no real fright/horror etc... The graphics are very nice, but I must be missing something as I don't feel they are any great leap past HL2, or ... |

| I have done the config hack... However, how do I know the game is actually being displayed in 1680X1050? If I go to check it in the options, I see all the same ones as before. |

| Wow, thanks Paddy. Now I understand. :) I too as you, feel that it should be directly connected to resolution. (As I thought when they say widescreen ootb meant) and that was, what was making it hard for me to understand. Your post was very insightful. As for people considering it cheating. I say no... |

| Paradigm Shifter... I am not the brightest bulb so if you could explain that even further to me I would really appreciate it. UT2004 is supposed to support widescreen out of the box. Now if say it is set to the default 90 degrees on both a 4:3 monitor and a 16:10 monitor, why would it still not inhe... |

| Thanks for responding. I found this in the user.ini: DesiredFOV=95.000000 DefaultFOV=95.000000 FOVAngle=90.0 I imagine you mean for me to change the FOVAngle one. (Do I make it 95 or some other value?) I still don’t fully understand though. Why should this be needed if the game says it suppor... |

| I had never bothered to check out if I see any more with my 2005 monitor than non widescreen... till tonight. I fired UT2004 up on my PC with the 2005FPW. Then I also started it up on my daughters PC with her Sony 17" LCD. I made very, very sure to put both characters in the same spot, and then comp... |

I too, had given this subject some thought, and had even gotten to the point of almost actually writing some of the companies that have been supportive of WSG...
Unfortunatly, I never did send any of those emails, but who knows... I may yet get around to it.
