Curious what you did to fix the problem eZ, I'm trying to run it at 1680x1050 and getting the black screen. Every other res works fine.

[-3rd] - A simple fix, but requires the use of a third party program, such as the solution for Morrowind.

Yeah there's no stretching and the FOV is right, pretty nice.

Very nice, thanks. But the standard 16:10 resolution is 1680x1050, not 1650x1080. This appears to be correct in the edited config file, just not in your post.

Yeah I started playing this on my PC but about 10 minutes in I decided if I'm going to play a 360 game I might as well play it on my 360. Sick of these quick ports.

Maybe if you spelled words out fully and used proper grammar people could understand you a little better.

One thing to note is that all the widescreen modes are optimized for 16:9 resolutions. You can see in the 16:10 screenshot that the HUD is slightly squished (most noticeably with the minimap circle in the lower left corner). This doesn't occur with 16:9 resolutions. It didn't bother me enough to inv...

Yeah I was playing the beta of 2142 just now, no WS option at all. Have to do WS the same way as BF2. But for some reason when I change it to WS the map loads then throws me back to the multiplayer screen saying something about modified content, this sucks. Another good job by EA. EA you suck, you ...

The FMVs are 4x3, they maintain that ratio in widescreen resolutions.

Editing the xml file works for me, 1680x1050 resolution. Unfortunately there's stretching HUD/FMV and vert- FOV. Kind of odd since this is supposedly using the same engine as Civ4, which had pretty good widescreen support.

I think the demo is pretty fun and runs as well as I would expect for what the game looks like. I've seen people on other forums really hating on the PC version and I can't figure out why. The only issue I've had is crashing to desktop for no apparent reason.

If you preorder Sin Episode 1 on Steam you can download the original SiN right away. Pretty neat bonus, unfortunately the game has no custom resolution support, and no widescreen resolutions by default. I was kinda disapopinted by this so I figured I'd let others know. However there is an encouragin...

Yeah unfortunately the PC version bears little resemblance to that 3dgamers screenshot even with "next generation content" enabled. Here's my comparison, using the full game. All screenshots are taken using identical resolutions/settings/position, with the only difference being the next-gen content ...

Yeah, 1440x900 is available if your system has that resolution. Just tested it.

1680x1050 is my native resolution and was selectable from the options menu. However, it's not true widescreen, they cut off the top and bottom. The cut-scenes are letterboxed yet even there they didn't give true widescreen. But hey, at least I didn't have to search and hack some file to get the reso...
