Any DX10 card should be capoble of doing this. Its only with DX10 support you can ashine up to 8096 × 8096 pixels ... other wise you would be still limited to 4096.

I would just stick with 3 5:4's ... it works well and it’s pretty wide. I wouldn’t switch to wide screens unless I was able to use a wide screen only for the center display. Which is not possible……

It was for me as well ... i went to Dual Opteron from Athlon XP about 1 year ago. Boy time flies by......... I guess for now we'll have to settle for XP x64 untill all the Vista fixes are done. There is really no point running this kind of power on a 32bit platform. Anyways ... wow i wont and looked...

Oh sweet ... i had no idea FX series were capoble of running in multiples. I thought Opterons were the only ones. You've got some serios prossesing power there.

Oh yeah TH2G is just hardware and doesn’t need any software to run. I know that ... it runs fine without it but I do some audio/video production and I like to snap my programs to each screen which cannot be done without running the powerdesk. Matrox said the powerdesk tool is Vista compatible. Has anyone actually tried it? It doesnt seem to be compatible on my mashine. It crashes right at startup and Vista wont even allow me to uninstall it. I've tried it on Vista Ultimate x64 Edition.

Screen Resolutions & Refresh Rates

Under Custom resolutions and refresh rates click Add

Note: You may want to switch nvidia panel to classic mode to use these intructions.

which video card are you using. There is a way to force resolutions on nvidia cards.

When you're using both DVI's you will have 2 monitors in your display properties. Just disable one of them or change which one of the 2 is primary before you play the game.

Yes you can but why bother? You can play all your games through TH2G on a single screen. I do it all the time.

Its DX10 envierment that allows 8096 × 8096 and since 8000 series are the only cards to support DX10 that is why he is able to do it.

Matrox never said that it wasnt posible. All they said is it wasnt supported by them.

How did you project the image on that dome? Are you using 6 projectors?

Nice one Paddy,

That’s a good thread to have on its own.

My 1KW PSU only has 2 PCIe cables only because there wasn’t need for 4 when it came out. I could technically use my PSU for 2 8800s but it would be nice to stay away from splitter cables to keep the system nice and clean.
