I have used spanning in the past, and I'm using dual-view mode right now. I have not experienced (from what I remember about spanning) problems moving video files across screens in either case.

it harms M$ as they want to sell vista, which has only limited advantagess so far. now that the major reason for anyone to buy vista (DX10) is available under XP, the 'advantages' of vista are even fewer. What advantages? From what I hear Vista isn't any better for games than XP. Check out this Gam...

Just looking at your sig showing SLI, and I thought of something (related to Crysis still). That sig is out of date, a couple of days ago I updated my rig. So this is the kick in the butt I needed to install Photoshop. Wouldn't it be nice if there was some kind of SLI setting where you could have o...

In the ... sys_spec_PostProcessing.cfg I changed all the entries for these two items to read ...
r_sunshafts=1
r_MotionBlur=0

In the ... sys_spec_Shading.cfg ... I added this line to the [3] section.
r_UsePom=1

My game crashed instantly doing that. :(

Major unresolved issues:
Are 1440x900 and 1920x1080 supported?

I don't know if this helps you, but I played the demo just fine at 1440x900. :D

I always meant to post in here but never did but never got around to it. My 3 favorite screensavers for wide/multiple monitor setups are My Pictures slideshow, zMatrix, and UC3D's matrix one. I don't think that My Pictures Slideshow needs any introduction as it comes with Windows by default. zMatrix...

I bet you would have trouble telling the difference between two displays one set to 16 bit one to 32 unless they were side by side or using images with VERY gradual gradients. You are correct sir. I'm using a dual monitor setup and one of them was accidentally set to 16-bit color for like a month. ...

Guys remember that this is beta. As far as I know Valve pays attention to their fan base a lot. Send them a courteous email or post sensibly on the steam forums. Somebody is bound to listen and at least consider implementing the standard Source Engine FOV, (if they aren't planning it like that alrea...

Do any of you guys know if those Divx movies can be played by simply installing the Divx plugin in Windows Media Player? I don't like that they want you to install all that Divx WebPlayer ActiveX crap just to view these.

For epic win: Install VLC media player.
