Yesterday I uploaded my latest YouTube video showcasing the virtual cockpit feeling in a helicopter demo, with and without positional tracking. I added English captions (video is in Spanish), so you might be interested in checking it. If there is enough interest I may add English captions to all my ...

I have no idea if you can get used to motion sickness, as I don't suffer from it. But I can tell you that the first time I did the Unreal Coaster demo it impressed me and I felt a bit of vertigo, but after doing it a couple of times, the vertigo went away. Here's a cool video of my sister getting re...

Hahaha... well, there are very few playable commercial games right now. I have tried the following: - Team Fortress 2 (official) - Doom 3 and episodes (via community patch) - Half Life 2 and episodes, Portal 2, Left 4 Dead 1 and 2 (via community driver) In those games the experience is excellent (no...

I'll post what I've posted in other forums I visit frequently. In a nutshell: it's freaking awesome! What surprised me most is how huge are game environments. Watching the Doom 3 corridors, halls and characters at real-life scale is an overwhelming experience. It's incredible to stand in front of an...

If you are thinking of the "I'll go with Rift over triple-wide" will it be cheaper? or is it a completely different concept to the triple-wide? It about the immersion with both systems, but can rift "replace" triple-wide or are some of us going for both! This is a very interesti...

OK, so the issue with texture quality getting stuck on low is actually a problem with Eyefinity+Crossfire. It works fine if I use just Crossfire or just Eyefinity, but when both are enabled, texture quality defaults to the laughably bad low or very low setting and can't be increased. It's so bad, y...

1) The Oculus Rift Developer Kit includes 3 pairs of eyecups. One for normal vision and two for nearsighted people (light and severe). It's not ideal but it should work for lots of people. In some of the Rift videos I have seen people wearing glasses trying the developer kit. The consumer version sh...

TessFX... glad that's an "ATI only" thing cause omg it looks awful, what were they thinking? Yeah lets put this effect in where her hair bounces in single strands all over the place all the time... ya, classic tomb raider hair for me thank you. If I was running ATI I'd still turn it off, ...

Maybe you see Mafia II like this? http://img10.imageshack.us/img10/5540/mafiaii.jpg Honestly, I have no clue. I have just tested Mafia II on my Windows 8 partition (Catalyst 13.2 beta 6) and aspect ratio is like in this photo (it's a picture of my computer) when using Eyefinity 3x1 plus a 4th monito...

If I disable the 4th monitor, aspect ratio is fine. In both Tomb Raider and Hitman I have tried setting ratio to auto and 16:9, but it does not help. For me, the only way to fix it is to completely disable the 4th monitor. Maybe you are fine because your 4th monitor is an ultra-wide monitor, who kno...

I just wanted to let you know that there is a thread at Asus RoG forums to report driver-related problems specifically with Crossfire & Eyefinity. I try to visit as many forums as I can, but my 'central hub' as AMD betatester is that thread. If you find problems in any game with Crossfire & ...

The game looks stretched when using Eyefinity in 3x1 + 1 extended monitor, it's the same bug that affects Hitman Absolution and other games. I've asked AMD about it and they confirmed that it's not a driver bug, these games are not using the AML Display Libraries (AKA Eyefinity SDK) to query the gra...

The tearing using mixed inputs was fixed with Catalyst 12.6 beta and it was still running fine in 12.8 WHQL, but unfortunately was broken again with 12.9 and later drivers. I've been pushing AMD as much as I could on this issue since I found it out, I hope they will fix it again in a new driver upda...

Hi guys, this is a known issue and a fix is on its way. The computer may freeze when using two or more 79xx cards in Eyefinity. In some games it's very easy to reproduce, in others it may never happen. In my experience, this issue only happens with certain intel chipsets (X58 and X79). I have a Z77 ...
