I have no doubts in my mind that vista and direct x will be the next greatest gaming platform. My concern is that transitional stage--where cool new DX10 games are coming out, yet we haven't quite grown tired of our XP optimized games. It also seems that drivers for some of our older but capable/not... |

Off topic a bit: Do you guys think its even worth while to install vista on a P4 2.4ghz w/ 512 megs of ram and onboard video? I'm working my way through the download of vista ultimate now and don't want that crap on my gaming rig, but am very curious about it. I have a laptop that goes to school wit... |

nice read with a very interesting discussion forum following it. its nice to see the blame going where it belongs and nicer still to see that an article such as that which publicly calls out third party manufacturers led to immediate change (Nvidia). just the same though--regardless of where the bla... |

I recently picked up an X-Fi card and while I love how it sounds in games, its made my system unstable. I hear a fresh install of XP could be the cure, but while I'm formating anyway I thought I'd give vista a go. I've got several games installed, but this is the only one I really care about. I'm wa... |

LOL I just came across this post on a forum Re: the razor mat and had to share...
I heard that these mouse pads speed up your pc by 10% because it makes your mouse more precise which cuts down on CPU clock cycles! I AM DEFINITELY GETTING THIS! |

thanks guys. I read a couple of reviews and impulsively pulled the trigger on a razor eXactMat for $21 shipped. I found the Xtrac Pro on newegg for $13 shipped (3rd day guarantee) which is probably a much better value, but honestly, I think the razor looks cooler... Also I read a few comments like t... |

thanks for the replies guys. What does one need to spend to get a quality mat? I mean, I purchased the mouse used from my buddy for 10 bucks... I'd feel kinda silly picking up a tripling the value on a pad. |

Perhaps this is a silly question, but I'm curious as to whether those mouse pads marketed to gamers actually make any difference at all. I thought swapping mice would be silly, but going from my no frills wireless logitech mouse to a Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer 3.0 has proven worthwhile. I'm jus... |

I'm pretty new to the widescreen LCD gaming scene, but recently purchased a 20.1 inch Sceptre for like $179.99 after rebate on newegg. The specs were pretty good on it, and reliability-wise (based on user reviews) it seemed you either got a working unit and were extremely satisfied with your purchas... |
