The Stealth is nothing new... That's the second version of the Blade, the third and just announced version was the Blade Pro, it comes with an i7-6xxx, 32GB DDR4-2133Mhz, and an onboard 1080 with 5GB GDDR5X dedicated, with up to 2TB Raid 0. What they're actually showing off is the Razer Pod, that de...

Hello again all! I know I am so far from active you could effectively call me dead, hence the thread title. Either way, I still lurk and read, I have been steadily redirecting folks to WSGF for all their Widescreen Gaming questions/support, so I hope that some good has come of that, at least one hap...

HaYDeN, there's a lot of valid points you bring up, but there's a couple things I'd like to reply to directly. There is a tangible difference, load times are practically instantaneous since it's a direct RAM-to-RAM transfer meaning there's near-0 load time for even large chunks of data. I remember q...

Long time no see. How's going? xD

I'm all ears if you have new test versions ready.

It's going, working out my last week at the office, mail off some money, and I'm home free for a couple months. When a test version comes out, I'll keep you posted.

I know I'm necro'ing again. This time, I have better news however. Effective after next week (April 13th), I don't have a normal 8-5 that I have to go to so I'm gonna have plenty of time to get this finished. It's been on my mind for a while, and after seeing that DIMMDrive debacle on Steam, I figur...

So yeah, I'm thread necro'ing my own thread. However, my main computer is back online now. Funny enough, it seems the idea of a RAM disk for gaming kind of caught on and a couple different companies (AMD, Intel) have decided to make their own applications. Problem with theirs is it loads whatever it...

So, I've been spending more time with the controller and all, and it defintely works, some games better than others. It does take some getting used to however. The selection of games is slim right now, but I'm sure that'll change with the In-Home Streaming.

I'm getting one of the 300 Steam Machines! I got the email yesterday while at work. Here's an excerpt from the email: "We have also added a special badge to your Steam community profile which indicates that you are an official Steam Universe beta participant. It’s called Steam Hardware Beta Par...

In regards to PSU performance, there is a standard set that you can look for called "80 PLUS". It's the measure of efficiency (from the wall) which is also a measure of the quality of the components, meaning higher quality, better able to fully deliver!

Okay, so I'm finally taking the dive from my single 24" to add triple 19" to get my whistle wet for more surround gaming in the future. I'm getting the monitors sometime this weekend, however this now presents another challenge as my video card only has dual DVI and 1 HDMI mini port. I kno...

I love you Skip, you're talking my lingo here, lemme throw a couple of solutions at you. First off, your case constrains are brutal, and finding a desktop or HTPC style case at only 4.5" tall is gonna be one hell of a tall order. Here's an idea of what you're looking for however: NewEgg HTPC ca...

Found some Oculus rift videos on YouTube, pretty cool stuff, doing the cross-eyed thing works to see these as well which gave me a very good sense of the 3D depth you get when using them. Any more movement on this?

Without test data from systems in the wild, I can only design around my own, which is bad practice. I need the data that the application is outputting from people. The sooner I can get this data, the more sound I'll feel about these algorithms.

Hawken Open Beta is live, so I expect to see a LOT more mech pilots getting on. I also expect a lot more lag in games, and you should all expect me to be barking orders left and right, but it's for the good of the team. Make sure you get a mic, preferably a headset with discrete output (independent ...
