Blinky you may have a point - that would genuinely be scary if true. I could never trust the company again. Don't forget new widescreen thread ('official') that needs your support over at 2k forums to show it's a problem that we'd like fixed. And don't forget to add the trolls to your ignore list (y...

*IMPORTANT* 2k Mods have just closed all threads relating to seperate complaints to tidy up their forum into single NEW threads (fair enough). So although you are all probably sick to the back teeth of it, now is your chance to really voice your opinon on why it's broken, YOu should post because I h...

aggies > in your HL2 (or hypothetical) example you are forgetting that at both WS and 4:3 (which you say does the same as Bioshock but the other way around - or something) the FOV is changed to ensure it's not unnaturally zoomed in. They call them 'FIRST PERSON SHOOTERS' not 'First person but with t...

If the developers put in a wide-FOV patch to comfort the "I-gotta-see-more-stuff-on-the-sides" zealots, I just hope they retain the option to play the game as it was originally designed. Not being funny but with an attitude like that towards widescreen gamers/gaming why on earth are you registered ...

Yeah Apple, i've just said much the same thing in a new thread (started by someone else) directed at this 2k Response: http://forums.2kgames.com/forums/showthread.php?p=125615&posted=1#post125615 It's so obvious it's damage limitation, and at best a cover up for their lack of understanding about WS....

Wow.. NOW is the time to cancel the pre-order I guess? Absolutely disgusted that 2k have played the company line here (politics) rather than admit it was either a F-up or a VERY BAD design choice. They say it's done for artistic reasons but the 4:3 users do NOT get the same FOV - they get a zoomed o...

:welcome Nice to see ya here! I almost felt sorry for you trying to explain the fundamentals of widescreen to the uneducated especially to the likes of guys like dandragonrage. Yeah, i've seen 'heated' debates over game flaws on the internet before now, but this one made me loose a little mo...

Thanks for the welcome guys. Yeah i'm not posting anymore on that issue over there because I end up looking just as bad as the trolls. Will use the theoretical perfect number 0.694 for my 16:10 then, I knew I was in the right ballpark because I was staring at the bathysphere as I adjusted an...

I registered here (I've lurked for ages) because of this whole bioshock farce. I got fed up of going around in circles on the 2kforums trying to explain to people who didn't understand the issue or didn't want to understand (trolls) and it's beyond a joke. I think it's safe to say that most posters ...
