There is some blurring where the blending happens, but that all depends on how good you are at blending, the position of the projectors, and the quality of the software you are using. Display Pro is pretty good, Warpalizer has the best quality by far, but there are some kinks with multi-GPU use, so ...

I'm very curious to see this work with more than one projector. It would definitely be nice to not need the software. The software's biggest problem isn't price, its compatibility. I have two of them just in case one has an issue with a certain game. It seems you are using mirrors? Most high quality...

As I mentioned above, 3 in landscape is too wide. Even though it mostly depends on the games scaling capability, you almost always get the "fish eye" effect with 3 projectors. Unless you plan on creating a room with 180 degree projection, avoid using 3.

I've been working on exactly what you are trying to do for a couple of years. My youtube page has some shots of what I've done: http://www.youtube.com/user/VanFS3K Short throw is also my goal, but its harder than you think. I haven't purchased my final projectors yet, just test units. Some 1080p LED...

I posted some videos of Immersive Display Lite 2 working in CoD: Black Ops on youtube. Very good software, and they are constantly upgrading the software to insure it works with the latest games.

If you have nvidia cards in SLI with multiple screens it is impossible to have a custom resolution, even if its the same resolution you are currently using. Its a bug nvidia does not care to fix.

Warpalizer has a demo version available for free, if you want you can test the 2 different programs out and see the differences. Probably the most annoying thing when testing out the different software is that they require you to move your projectors around a bit; Nthusim the projections need to tou...

I do like the compatibility of NTHuism, but the video quality is very different. I use both, Nthusim distorts the image and makes small text and details hard to make out. Warpalizer doesn't do that, and it controls the light of the 3 projectors much better.

Warpalizer definitely wins in image quality as you can see in all of the videos posted. Its biggest problem though is compatibility; currently not all games work with Warpalizer, it has no DX 10 or 11 support at the moment, and zero support with Steam overlay. I'm not sure if NTHUSIM suffers from th...

Yes, the dpi of the projected image would increase as would the lumens per square inch also. Projecting a 30-40" image makes the piont of projector use prety much moot. Might as well go with 40" 1080p HDTV panels or 40" video wall panels then. The easiest way to really figure out how a projector wi...

The ultimate trade-off with surround projection is it'll never be as crisp, sharp or bright as what you are used to. IN my particular setup the contrast is lower than I'd like but that has a lot to do with the screen material I'm using which is just raw canvas paint drop cloth from Home Depot. The ...

I called scalabledisplay on the phone the other day, and they said it cost about $2500 per projector. Thats a pretty high price.

Hi Wazoo, I got your message. Yes Im using 3 480GTX's and 3 30" dell monitors, and yes I get the odd flashing of textures when I first go into the game, but when I change the FOV the flashing textures go away. Its not your rig, its the software. The FOV fix I use really sucks though, because it does...
