As Skid said, this is normal, and it happens in "regular" Aspect Ratios as well, there's some information about it in this thread should you have the time:

I don't understand why they didn't include Q4 into the pack. It's Quake. Shouldn't it be inclusive?. I know this is kinda late, but anyway: It's because Quake 4 is not available on Steam, it's only available digitally on one store (and it's only for NA), I can't remember which one though. It's weir... |

I think FEAR v1.08 was the version with native support in the in-game menus, but I think Extraction Point was based on v1.07 and it never got patched. |

Dark Athena is Anamorphic, so unless you play on a 16:9 monitor, you're always gonna have the letterbox (the black bars), just like if you watch a movie in widescreen on a regular TV. |

Anamorphic widescreen is considered as a valid way of doing widescreen, or at least preferable to vert- I think, since you're not losing part of the image. Personally I don't mind the letterboxing you get on 16:10, since I used to play 16:9 letterboxed on my old 16:10 monitor anyway, but that's a di... |

The first part of this solution worked great for me, didn't even notice it wasn't bugging me until I got out of the game and thought 'hey yeah, that fix worked great!'. So thanks. I owe you one. :cheers No problem! If it's one thing I can't stand in games, it's things like this! Glad I could help! :D |

I edited the HUD/background images for 1680x945 and uploaded the files to MegaUpload about a year ago, thought I'd post the link again, since the interest for this game seems to be unlimited, and I'd hate for anyone to miss this if there are people other than myself that use 1680x945 (although I've ... |

My biggest complaint is that the mouse sensitivity change from the game to the speech interaction is frustrating. It feels super heavy in game and ultra fast in the speech/similar menus. Could be a problem with the mouse acceleration, the sensitivity was VERY different for me as well in-game/menus,... |

If possible, have you tried deactivating SLI mode when running the game?
If you can't do that with SLI, then just ignore this post, I don't have any experience with SLI/CrossFire. |

And the demo is free, so if anyone has 1920 x 1080, please test it, I have no reason to think it wouldn't work though.
I have the full game and I'm playing it at 1920x1080, so it definitely works. :D

Wait, Kane & Lynch 2 uses SteamWorks, so you HAVE to use Steam to play it, even the retail version, since it needs to be activated on Steam.. :?: |

With the old CFG edit, the game would crash when loading the map after you escape from the Castle (the level with the tram), but it worked like a charm now, loading the next level in the village, and starting it, without issue.
Great job, Cranky! :onethumb |

The news about the Killer App mod made me realise that I never did manage to get my hand on Tron 2.0, and I started looking hoping to get lucky and find a copy somewhere. Guess what? That wikipage only lists the different versions of the First and Second Encounter, Serious Sam 2 was a whole new game, built on their new engine.
And yes, The Second Encounter wasn't a proper sequel, it was more of a Serious Sam: Part 2 kind of thing.

I just finished up ME1, so I have a finished save ready for ME2, which I'm STILL waiting for, along with most other European gamers who also ordered the Collector's Edition. :(
You guys should stop having fun with ME2, it's not fair! |

I can't wait for ME2, hopefully I will have a new computer by the time I get the game. I pre-ordered the CE, but apparently that version is delayed in a whole bunch of European countries, due to a production problem with the artbook or something. Have to wait until Feb 4 now, which is kinda sad, but... |

The Steam version got an update today, and one of the things they fixed was this: Proper widescreen support. Previously the game allowed non-4:3 video modes (e.g. 1920x1080) but just rendered a stretched 4:3 image. Now the game renders at the correct aspect ratio (e.g. 5:4, 16:9, 16:10), with the ve... |
