That worked beautifully (after I deleted the Tilted Mill folder from Documents). Interestingly after quitting back to the main menu it remains in 1080p now rather than dropping back down to 800x600.

Thanks so much jackfuste.

Thanks very much for taking a look. This is the Steam exe: Edit: Don't know why this didn't occur to me before, but changing to windowed mode in Documents\Tilted Mill\Children of the Nile\cotn.ini will fix all the above issues. But of course fullscreen would be a lot better if you're still willing t...

This is probably only a problem for a small minority, but I play on a 40" Samsung TV and here's what happens (tested with my old disc version and the Steam version): The menu always starts up in 800x600 resolution. Once the game starts it will change to the chosen resolution. The problem is tha...

hey,
when i tried running UFO Aftershock with this widescreen patch it loads up the entire game too far to the bottom right.

I had that problem too - try starting the game without the mod, go in and adjust all your options and save them, then apply the fix and see if it works then.

Just a note for anyone running at 1080p but with a shimmery low res look in the missions - turn off Smart Gamma Post Processing in the ingame options, that should fix it.

Found a bug: When selecting a landing site for your capsule when starting a mission, the actual mission map is centered on the screen, but the clickable regions are offset to the left. IE. You can click a capsule site to choose that point to start the mission from - however the hotbox is off to the ...

PM sent, thanks for taking a look.

Weirdly some people at GOG are reporting no stretching, others say it does.

I realize this topic is 4 years old, but the game has just been re-released on www.gog.com (http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/startopia/) and I thought it was better than starting a new thread. There seems to be mixed reports as to whether or not the picture is stretched in widescreen modes. It seems t...

Keep in mind the rest of the nvidia 6xx series should be arriving soon and the mid-range cards may provide a fair bit more power at a similar price.
