I am thinking on getting a second GTX 280 on the cheap for a SLi set up, torun new games in SLi I will need the latest nvidia Drivers. Given the continousing issues with Vista divers and 5040x1050 / custom resolutions, I wonder if installing a copy of XP on a second Hard disk and dual booting as nee... |

It pretty much boils down to personal choice in the end when it comes to the cosmetics (thin bezels). I find the bezels dont distract me, whilst overlapping screens probably would. The Dells seem to be a safe bet when it ccome to running 57hz, and theres plenty on the list to choose from. To my eyes... |

I'd start by installing an older 8 series card and previous 177.XX drivers. If you can get it to work at 5040x11050, then you know its not your monitors, which is a start. I gues you already tried the Matrox Beta drivers for 200 series cards? (I got my setup to work with the normal drivers despite h... |

I dont know of a single arm that will do it. Have a look at the Ergotron range for dual and single arms. |

Games that do not have native TH2Go support sometimes look stretched when patched by the SGU. Also DX10 games cant run in 5040x1050 and have to go something lower, maybe dependent on what additional res's you have installed. |

There isn't much in it. Start with the list of 22" that are know to work in 1680x1050@57Hz. As all 22" panels are the same size, you can compare the dimensions on the manufactures websites to work out which has the thinnest bezels. |

I would sell the 30" and get 2 new 24"s or get 2 24"'s and keep the 30 as a 4th monitor off the 2nd DVI port if you have room for it. Games that dont run in TH2go will work on your centre screen or you can run them on the 3-" if you keep it as a 4th monitor. You would probably need a dual arm and a ... |

I would start by down grading to the 177.xx drivers that are known to work without issue at 3x 1680x1050. Then I would load the Matrox driver manually in Control Panel>displaysetting>advanced setting>monitor>Update driver, (driver should be in your Powerdesk directory) without using GXM or any other... |

Seeing how TH2go does not support more than 57Hz in widescreen mode, I guess that these glasses wont work in triple head regardless of monitor. |

Have your tried manually adding 4800x1200x55 in the nvidia control panel yet?
I got my Triple head up an running without using the Powerdesk software, just addeed the resolutions manually my self. Only installed it to get bezel management. |

3 x1680x1050 is the most you will get; cant see why you monitor wont run it but you can check for your self with 1 monitor by setting a custom resolution. |

What drivers are you using Typhoon? You got it working with new drivers and no beta drivers? HOW!? After the official Powerdesk kept installing the wrong widescreen resolutions with 180.xx drivers, I uninstalled it. Then installed TH2Go monitor driver manually (using update driver option in windows... |

There fine for me. There are my first TN panels and the reduced viewing angles are apparent. Though with my set up with the monitors angled in your pretty much looking at the monitors head on so its fine. Just to clarify TH2go will make use of SLi, for which of course you need 2 indentical GPU's, if you add a different second card to your existing set up then of course it can only make use of one. Running desktop on the 4th monitor takes next to no GPU utilisation so no need to run than monitor off a... |

I run a 280GTX under Vista64 with no problems, haven't had to use the new beta Powerdesk. Unless you are running SLi, Triplehead2go will only make use of 1 graphic card. Your 9800GX2 will be fine on its own. If you want to replace it then the 280/285GTX or 295GTX are the only Nvidia ones that will g... |

You may want to check the list of monitors capable of running 5040x1050@57Hz http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/node/9399 first before splashing out. Or at least test the monitors before buying. |
