Hi guys, I am considering a 29inch monitor for my second computer, I play minimal games on it and do office work and a fair bit of PS graphics work on it. I see LG has two versions available (as choises are a little limited in Aus) http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath...

Well worth it I think, it opens up a whole new avenue for larger screens. And I should include that I bought the cube as well. Although this will have US plug configurations I have a pretty sharp sparkie who thinks he will be able to "Mcgyver" up the inserts to suit Aus plugs. I will report back on ...

Hi guys, I already have an ergotech tripple monitor stand, and would like to purchase the upgrade package, 5 arm, long pole, 2 mounts, and get a cube as well. My problem is when filling out the purchase form there is no ability to ship to Sydney, Australia. (US/Canada only) I realise that it is a va...

I would deffinately look at eyefinity or Surround. On another note, surround doesnt support 3 + 1 screens, "BUT" you could get a USB monitor to add a forth from somewhere like mimo. I have a 10" touch screen and am about to connect it to my 2 x 480 surround set up. (trying to buy the extra long pole...

From an iRacing perspective only, one key point to avoid micro stutters is not to use cards that have multi cpu on board. 6990 590 etc. Although this issue is not specificly defined it seems to be the root cause of it in iRacing. 6970 and 2x 580's dont have this problem (in iRacing) and you can get ...

Hi Ibrin, thanks for your work on this development, just awesome. Couple of questions, I would like to run larger monitors in nVid surround and use a 4th monitor above it. The fourth monitor is a USB mimo monitor, so should be ok to do. So what I need is the taller pole, extra mount, wide bar and he...

Sure will, I used 2 x 280's for a fair while when the surround drivers were released (about 6 months). Didnt do any really intence grafical gaming, but for stuff like rFactor, GTR Evo and I-racing it did the job quite well.

From memory you need 3 monitors with identical sync polarity for surround to work. Which you dont have with two different sized monitors.
Sorry, but it aint working for a reason. your solution is to get one more 22, 2 x more 24's (with identical sync polarity) or go to change to eyefinity.

you could use a Ergotech stand (shameless plug) and not need to get a new desk

and watercooling makes a real difference, to the cards and the surrounding rooms temp..
Just finished doing my 2 x 480's

My thoughts on Eye-finity-entry. 1/You took the first serious gaming step in the marketing race and have forced the green boys to follow. (Matrox was not really intended for gaming) 2/ Your development has been pretty swift compared to the competition a/ less power b/ less heat c/ less noise d/ driv...

Everything Scavvenjahh said, and, are the 3 screens the same, as in identical ? I believe surround must see them as identical or they will not work. Not just 3 x 1680 x 1050 monitors that are hooked up. Otherwise eyefinity will be you next best option.

Thanks, didnt know that list existed, seems 1200w could do it ok, are there prefered brands? As I know that some PSU manufacturers quote a figure, which is the max atainable, but consistancy of power delivery can be dodgy at best.

If I wanted to run tri 480's or tri 580's, what sort of "watts" would I be looking for in an adequate (with a little head room) PSU ? I currently have a thermaltake 1500w unit, (which to date has served me ok) but as I am a little more educated now, I am looking to ditch it for my next build in favo...
