I've been reading the questions and really it all comes down to one thing, we all want non-standard resolutions supported in and out of eyefinity, and an ETA on when these issues will be fixed. Also including mixed resolutions, Crossfire+Eyefinity, and Bezel Management. Lol you aren't asking for mu...

That, and there are probably limitations in DX9 that won't allow eyefinity to work like it should. "Eyefinity" is just what ATi calls their solution. I'm sure every company that (eventually) makes a DX11 card for Win7 will have a similar (if not the same) solution that does exactly the same. AFAIK ...

BHawthorne's speculations are pretty close to the mark.

We are trying to make the most folks happy the soonest and there is still some S/W work to do for the Six. More than that I can't say.

BH,

Do you know if there are any DLP projectors that would work?

The question may seem odd, but humor me.

I am discovering the game anew, I just ride to the different areas of the game enjoying the scenery and looking at the details and the beauty that I have missed before. The combination of eyefinity and a truly powerful graphics card is a killer. Oh and I can only imagine how L4D would be like... Ev...

Sorry I haven't been dropping in - had three major operations last week (prostate and two inguinal hernias) and have been a little indisposed. Ghallion, I built my personal EF system last week end and installed W7 as well. Once it was up and running my first software installation was LOTRO. Admitted...

Excuse me for not visiting the forums very much since Monday as I am recovering from major surgery. MS operating systems recognize two graphics cards uniquely, which is to say that one card can operate in EF SLS mode, and the other in traditional modes. So the scenario of having something like a 585...

I don't thnk there is a large enough market for them to do that, or it would have been done in the first place. I think EyeFinity occured because they were looking at new ways to use that third active port DP allowed, not to accomodate people who already had 3 DVI displays. It came about with diffe...

Hi Dave and Sunsp*t, I am having one problem and I wanted your input. My centre monitor is on the Bizlink adapter, and from time to time it starts blinking ... interspersed with artifacts, patterns, and a lot of other loss of signal stuff. My question to you, engineer to engineer, could this be a b...

If ATI started development for this any time in the last 12 months, you can bet there were some heated meetings both before and after engineering launch, pressing the bean counters on how they plan to pay for this in the midst of a shaken World economy. Development was started well before the econo...

have you mentioned (or can you mention) whether CrossFire and EyeFinity are going to be playing nicely together soon? I'm presuming it'll work for the release of the 5870X2. And the issue of bezel management; any sort of ETA on when that could make an appearance? As for the issue of Portrait-Landsc...

30" center as main gaming screen and 20" satelites for added immersion is a pretty sweet setup. I've seen many in various forums using that setup and are limited to softTH because of this. Also, adding the capabilities to use various screen sizes makes it easier for every user to try out Eyefinity,...

For those that aren't aware, prior to joining ATI/AMD I used to run the website Beyond3D in my spare time - I do this stuff because I love it it! :)

lol yes he does!

I guess I missed the deep philosophical implications that were embeded in this message can you please clarify what you are trying to say ...

I am positive that a 30inch in the center and (2) 20 inch side panels qualify as high performance HD+ gaming... Let me clarify, I believe these cards can run (3) 30 inch montiors but not effectively.. In the current EF implementation most of the arbitrary configurations will trash performance in SL...

If Eyefinity aims at lowering the entry barrier for triple screen gaming then the ability to mix and match resolutions and orientations is important I would think. At the SoftTH forum you can find people using all kinds of combinations of monitors, often simply because they had them sitting around ...

Mersive has done it using a Six. It was demoed on the Hornet.

http://www.mersive.com/

It would be cool if the driver had the hooks to allow anyone to do that. I will add it to the list. Be aware the list is growing much faster than the resource base.

No quoting or anything, and just a short comment or two. I am tired tonight. KiselK: I'm not dodging your questions - I just don't have time to address everything. I answer what I am most qualified to answer, and only one of those per night max. Linux stuff: Believe it or not, I don't know the answe...
