So by that I assume Crysis/WH are STILL not showing any real gains by adding an additional 5970? (Ironically the games that DO scale well do NOT need the second 5970- at least for me  )

DEFINITELY looking forward to some benches with the dual 5970s.

Been trying to hold off ordering my second one until they get the quad-fire scaling issues fixed. MAN, could Crysis use the extra horsepower!

Going with a native DP monitor is certainly the safest way to go...

On a side note, I am running 3 Dell 2209WAs with the Accell active adaptor and have had ZERO issues. (5970 with 9.12 Hotfix drivers) You are going to LOVE Eyefinity! :rockout

Yeah- looks good.

My Diamond 5970 came with the mini dp-dp in the box as well. I am using the Accell active adaptor, and it is working flawlessley so far on Dell 2209WAs.

Just a word of caution if you DO decide to go the mixed ATI/NVIDIA route...

I guess older drivers would work? Haven't explored this much, but thought it was worth mentioning.

I stand corrected on Call of Duty...I was thinking of Medal Of Honor. (I DID do COD3 but it was on XBOX360.).

Can't wait to try Far Cry 2. Also kinda psyched about Bioshock 2 - hopefully it works in Eyefinity!!

Actually..I have been out of the "PC-Loop" for some time...my last build was in anticipation of Doom 3..yes, I know..lol So, as you can probably imagine, Crysis didn't run all that well on the 'ole "wayback machine". That's not the only one, of course..I plan on re-visiting the Half LIfe s...

Yeah, same issue here.. I was DEAD set on a 3 way SLI GTX285 setup...but I decided to go Eyefinity, hence my search for the "Holy Grail", the 5970.

Now if only ATI could get those Eyefinity/Crossfire drivers working... :?

I'm in the EXACT same boat... Wast just about done ordering all my parts for my new system,3 24" displays, TH2Go Digital, GTX285 SLI, etc..and THEN I realize Eyefinity is coming... I changed my direction, returned the TH2Go, and now have 2 Radeon 5850s to crossfire (which I realize now does NOT supp...

OK, I am in the FINAL stages of my new gaming build, after being out of comission for a few years (my last build was a "Doom 3 killer", to date myself... ) My question is, I JUST received my 2 Sapphire 5850s in the mail, as I had given up hope in finding a 5970. I am REALLY wanting to do Eyef...

bummer.... in all of my reading I somehow ovelooked the fact that the HD 5XXX series doesn't work. Well this further complicates my decision, as now I HAVE to decide wether to keep the Radeons and wait for crossfire driver supprt, or return THOSE and go back to my original plan of doing 2 GTX285s SL...

OK, not sure if this is the right place for this topic, so feel free to move it if necessary. I have been doing TONS of reading through threads on wether to go TH2GO or Eyefinity... I just scored 2 5850s to run in crossfire for my new build (i920, EclipsePlus mobo). I have 3xBenq M2400HD 24" diplays...
