I'm not sure how validated any of those are as I have one (B087B-002B) from the list and it is unusable due to the monitor blinking on and off.
Same Model number on my unusable Accell.

i'll gladly uninstall my drivers and test it out... i'll get at it right away. :-D -Tanshin Edit: Completely uninstalled Device drivers, card instead of showing up as a 5800 series shows up as an EAH5870.. DP adapter is still not working. I will now try to flash the bios with ati's 103 bios. 7:30pm ... |

My first thought was that it may be the drivers as well. I have tried 9.11 ccc, 9.12 ccc / + hotfix and beta MSI 10.1 ccc. Also I tried several different versions of only the display drivers from my manufactures website. None of the drivers gave me any change in how the DP reacted. so I'm sticking w... |

I'm not sure of the specifics, but i think hat the DP > DVI cable also moves an analog signal as well as the digital. This needs the external power to push / create the analog signal. A DP > VGA just has the analog signal and does not push a digital, so it does not need extra power. Also, DP > HDMI ... |

The solution was there, but buried. I did see this but decided to write my own so that it could be easily searched by people, and to have a step by step right at the top. :-D

This is something i could not find on this forum, so I will post it in hopes that I am not double posting. You can in fact enable the console in Aion and get a wider FoV. Max fov being 180. Navigate to your Aion Folder. In most cases this could be C:Program Files (x86)NCSoftAion Inside that folder, ... |

That really isn't easy. As the HDMI cab;e is a high output Digital signal, you would need some sort of reverse conversion box that may cost as much as $200USD. Also, I don't think that the HDMI has an analog signal, and this is why it requires a conversion box. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hdmi And ... |

A Displayport to VGA does not need to be active because of it's lower resolution. You are correct sir, an analog signal does not need to be activly powered by usb :-) I think the max resolution you will get with the VGA adapter is 1920 x 1200, I could be wrong. The guys over at Hardforum.com got it ... |

Using cables together like that should be fine, The cables nearly translate the signal to something that can be read off another male or female plug. This will work for desktop eyefinity setups. to my knowledge, you will need an Active adapter to use it for gaming. Apply has some nice MiniDisplaypor... |

[quote]..... When I turn my monitor up to it's native resolution of 1920 x 1080 ( 5760 x 1080 ), the monitor on the display port begins to show white line dashing across the screen randomly, the screen will shut down and then turn itself back on. Eventually the monitor will shut off completely. ...... |

I was stumbling around the AMD forums and found a nifty program someone created to plug in custom resolutions into your registry. The person insists that it work, I have not tried this yet. Anyone brave enough to try it? http://forums.amd.com/game/messageview.cfm?catid=260&threadid=126171&enterthrea... |

I'm positive that my connections are clean. I cleaned the whole system with alcohol swabs and air dusted the entire machine before installing the card. I do think once every 6 - 8 months to keep all the contacts in the machine operational ( always get an fps boost after the clean). I'm positive that... |

To be absolutely sure, I went to the ASUS website and took about 30 min to find their drivers. None of their utilities work... it's odd but may explain why they don't have the card listed on their flash UI... their drivers are out of date, catalyst 8.68 or so... This did not solve the problem. I set... |

I do still have my amazon history, i may be able to return the adapter with that information. Unfortunately I will not be able to grab a new power supply for at least 2 weeks. So in a last ditch effort i went to the ASUS website. The card was burried deep in there support page and not on there flash... |
