The "deformation of objects on the side" isn't going to go away just because you're using projectors and a curved screen. Games like Battlefield are rendered for display on a flat panel, that's why the edges of the screen (or screens in triple configs) have the distortion you're talking ab...

If you're going to use multiple cards go nVidia. Techreport has many articles now detailing the poor crossfire frame times. I used to own a 7970 but upgraded to 680 SLI. I sold my 7970 to a friend who is using it in crossfire. He complained from the very beginning that even though FRAPs reported a g...

Sorry can you read my post again, where did I say it was the projectors you could break? What I was saying was that if the graphics card or drivers do not "support" it over HDMI as in don't let you, you force the issue and change that programatically. This is on you, so if something does ...

Sorry, my fault, i missread your post, tought you asked an engineer and he said it doesn't work because HDMI doesn't have the bandwidht. Also most people that ask for Advice in this Forum don't even dare to overclock their GPU because they would lose waranty, so i underestimated you. I'm sorry. I s...

I think the only way that someone is going to find this out is to buy one and do the experiment personally. Gotta realize how specialized your question is and it limits the plausible amount of people capable of even answering. I plan on having one soon, but "soon" is relative to how much ...

HDMI 1.4a does not support 120hz in 1080pixel. The resolution isn't officially supported but I assure you the link has the bandwidth to do it. HDMI 1.3 was released June 22, 2006 and increased the single-link bandwidth to 340 MHz (10.2 Gbit/s). If you go read the VESA Monitor Timing Standard you ca...

Currently happy with my triple Optoma GT720 but always looking to upgrade. Does anyone know if the new short-throw BenQ projectors will accept 1080p @ 120Hz over HDMI? Scouring the internet has got me nowhere. Armchair electrical engineers replying about how HDMI doesn't have the bandwidth for that ...

I agree, it is pretty BS that it doesn't work in Eyefinity but is perfect in nVidia Surround. I never would have thought that they could be that different.

nVidia supports 3 projectors running 3D at the same time. BHawthorne was working on getting 2 to run properly in surround but I think he decided that it was too much of a hack. With AMD cards you should be able to setup a 2 projector eyefinity configuration. As long as you're using DP-to-HDMI adapte...

I ended up buying it on Origin for $7.50 a couple of weeks ago. I'm running a 680 SLI system now. The game updated itself to version 3.1 and runs perfectly in nVidia 3D Surround with no need for plugins/fixes of any type. Runs awesome. Apparently nVidia helped out with the Surround coding for the ga...

I'm wondering how this Optoma GT720 projector does with the DLP rainbow effect; I was steering clear looking at LCD. I did watch the YouTube video you posted however it's not the same as being there; does this projector produce that rainbow effect at all? If not I will be sold on two for my 120 deg...

If you have 120Hz panels, and you get 90-100 fps, wouldn't it still be smoother than that same fps on 60Hz panels? Yes it's smoother. I recommend my configuration. 3 projectors for 3840x800 @ 120Hz. No bezels and a low enough resolution that you can actually get 120 frames/sec with reasonable hardw...

ScreenGoo has reflective particles in the mix so it probably isn't what you're looking for. I tried it for my screen and it was way too bright. You probably want a neutral grey paint. Go to Home Theatre Shack and ask the DIY screen guys what you should use (it'll also be cheaper). HTS DIY The drop i...

You guys can find a Tribes: Ascend plugin as part of Flawless Widescreen It has been available for some months now, enables the HUD to function, fixes the weapon FOV and the in-game and menu FOV's. Cheers. Ok, I'll try it again but I couldn't get it to work last week. I also couldn't get the Skyrim...

Last I checked ( 2 minutes ago) the plugin was still working perfect with the Steam version of the game. both for nVidia and Eyefinity. Gog or other versions are not supported anymore... since I only have the Steam version. Be sure to try and enable the fix more than once for it to work... default ...

Here is a quote for that fix: The Witcher 2 only supports surround for NVIDIA - this fix enables surround support for AMD video cards. Attempting to use this fix on NVIDIA cards may result in flickering. People may wish to use this to remove the black bars on NVIDIA, however without access to NVIDI...

So, I'm finally going to buy this game. Which version should I get so that I can play on my Eyefinity rig? Or is there no fix now that the Enhanced Edition is out?
