I got it kind of working with my PLP setup, although the menus are way too small. Would it be possible to specify center screen width for the menus like Haydens did? Total width / 3 is not ideal as my sides are 1200 wide and my center is 2560 wide. Very very weird thing is, it will only work the fir...

Hi Helifax, Wondering if you can help me understand why it's not working. Previously Haydens fix worked on the old versions - that is if I untick automatic and put in the resolution of my center screen 2560 which is all I had to do. So my setup, the reason it's different to others is: 1. I use SoftT...

I only have 3 screens, but I can tell you about 2 of them: -IL-2 1946 I am running in 4960x1600 resolution without SoftTH or any eyefinity etc. I setup my left monitor in windows as my "main" screen anytime I want to play and the game loads the res from the config file. It's Fullscreen mode as well....

I also want this for Eyefinity, but I haven’t seen much good reports and lots of bad reports so far.. I could hazard a guess though that the 7970 was designed for Eyefinity 2.0, whereas all the current drivers are for the old generation cards and Eyefinity 1.0. Maybe you will find it perform better ...

Since your name is Blackshark, I wonder have you been able to get DCS Blackshark working with your 7970?

So far I've heard bad reports that it just crashes with DCS A-10C or DCS Blackshark 2...

Anyone with suggestions on a size that will portrait well with a 27" ? http://hardforum.com/archive/index.php/t-1660846.html Be careful though because there are more recent posts o...

I've been reading rumours that PLP will not be supported in Eyefinity 2.0 - because even though custom resolution is allowed - it STILL has to be same orientation. BUT I really want Eyefinity, it's going to work better than SoftTH going forward with all the directX 11 stuff coming out over the next ...

You have the card? Cool I'm also looking at the Black Edition. Only thing that stopped me buying is driver issues with non-mainstream games. Reviewers only looked at the top games and not things like flight sims. Users report DCS A-10C and Blackshark doesn't run, crashes after 5 minutes. X-Plane has...

So what about SoftTH? What were the performance issues? The performance must be fairly good on a 7970? excepting only directx 9... I could still use it for my flight sims which ALL run on directx 9. Battlefield is the only dx11 game I own, generally I don't buy the current generation of console ports

[quote]But, I'm still interested in hearing from anyone who has or hasn't experienced screen tearing using several different connections for eyefinity AFAIK Screen Tearing only happens when you use Adapters! I'm using 2x DVI +DP on my HD6970 and never ever had any issue of Taring or such. Thanks! G...

Yes it would be good to get 3 mini-DPs so they all output on same type (apparently less chance of flicker then). I've done a little more research and found out that since my main 3008WFP has a DP port, then I don't need a Mini-DP to Dual-link DVI active adapter at all - I just need a $11 Mini-DP to ...

Agreed. I've never heard of a multi-display user complaining about having too much VRAM before. How much VRAM do we really need though? I'm still deciding between the 3GB and 6GB versions.. but I currently have a Nvidia GeForce 580, with 1.5GB VRAM. On 2560x1600 it uses about 1.2-1.6 GB ...

Hi Guys, I have a couple of questions I hope you can help me with, never had Eyefinity before. I’m going to an Eyefinity 2.0 setup soon (once the overclocked 7970s are released). I have these in PLP: • Dell 3008WFP 2560x1600 (center monitor) • 2x Dell 2007FP 1200x1600 (side monitors – portrait mode)...

I've got a dell 3008wfp as my center at 2560x1600 (I will put 2x Dell 2007FP on the sides) I'm very happy with the Dell monitor, at the time I purchased last year there were reports of the Samsungs getting returned faulty, so I chose the Dell and it's a very nice monitor. Do you have 3GB GTX 580s? O...

Not sure if I would believe this, seems a bit too good to be true even if the reference power consumption is low... would be nice if it was true though!! Good publicity for Sapphire thats for sure. Choose a version with 1335Mhz instead of 925Mhz. Or choose a version with 6GB VRAM plus 6 Mini-DPorts,...

Ahh that is excellent news VSync works, I guess since it replaces the dll it appears in fullscreen mode anyway with SoftTH even better. But is it true SoftTH only supports Directx9? That would be limiting going forward. Also my 1.5GB VRAM would limit me a bit. I'm seriously considering the 7970 but ...
