Hi just to check the LG flatrons are TVs right? so no DVI inputs? Also do you know the exact model of your 6970? I think all the DP (display port) adapters which are DP > HDMI are passive (I might be wrong) the only active DP adapters i know of are DP > DVI. I have a 6990 and a bunch of 7970s and wi...

Definitely play around with your matrox unit first, see if you can find any joy out of it. Im assuming powerdesk has not helped? (Even with powerdesk my 7970 has max 1360x768x3, now i know why!) The mview unit i am going to get for myself is the MV103-HDVE Pro http://www.mviewtech.com/listen.asp?Pro...

Good find mate :onethumb: Yeah my 7970 tri-fire setup will still be limited to 1360x768 Im assuming you already have the matrox unit? If not DONT BUY IT, get mview instead. You can email those guys and they will get back to you. Looks like you are stuck at 1280x1024x3.... PS: I wish i found out abou...

Hmmm, I have to respectfully disagree: With HD4xxx and older ATI cards you can easy get 5040x1050 (or maybe even 5760x1080) from one DVI Just when eyefinity comes around ati limited triplhead2go units to max 1024x768 per screen. Not true as I previously stated: i had 2x dp digital se versions and a ...

Not sure with the 5850, but make sure you have powerdesk installed (The matrox software) so that you have access to all resolutions, also 1920x1080x3 runs at 50Hz so maybe your screens are not compatible. Assuming you have the dvi digital edition, check the specs tab for all supported res http://www...

I agree, i had 2x dp digital se versions and a digital edition (DVI) hooked up to a 7970, but was limited to 1280x1024 per screen in a 3x3 setup. I know this is because of the DVI matrox, but powerdesk will NOT support more than 2 and they need to be the same for custom resolutions and bezel compens...

Thanks Haldi, some good news for a change :onethumb: Quote from the article: The stepped tearing issue is caused by a different but related property – AMD does not appear to have a synchronization step on each scan line but instead on each pixel. Rather than wait for each scan line to output before ...

only these two configs arent avaible: 4x1P and 2x3L (not3x2) 2x3L will be great bcoz with dp @ dual hdmi adapter willbe easy to make 4x3 videowall Checkout the mview website: http://www.mviewtech.com/index_en.asp They have HEAPS of these modules, support for 3D, 5x1, 1x4, 6x1 and more (But cost up ...

Well if something is legal, does that make it right? More to the point, because piracy does not actually deprive the owner of intellectual property from that said property, does that mean it is not stealing? (Technically yes and that is why it is defined as copyright infringement) I'll leave the ind...

Sorry I need to learn to read better....LOL I have an i7 3930k also but if you check the specs, they only support pci-e 2.0 http://ark.intel.com/products/63697 I didn't mean to overclock the GPUs, but oc the CPU to get the most out of the video cards. I run mine at a mild oc, 4.5ghz (they can do 4.8...

What CPU are you running? 1366? 1150 or 2011? The important thing is the slots, are they PCI-e 3 or 2. For example PCI-e 2 @x16 is the same as PCI-e 3 @x8, so keep that in mind. Not trying to sound like a pc salesman but you need to consider your existing system, will you cpu & mobo bottleneck t...

Quad SLI and xfire setups are not very effective in terms of scaling, i think it goes like this: 1xGPU = 1.0 2xGPU = 2.0 3xGPU = 2.75 4xGPU = 3.25 So 2 will double performance, the 3rd will give another 75% and a fourth only 50%. Honestly, only some games will fully utilize 3 GPUs (Most will only us...

matrox TH2G DigitalSE will only do 1920x1080x3 @ 50Hz.

Have you installed powerdesk and tried the resolutions in there?

Try setting 1680x1050x3 this will do 60Hz

That 7970 is not a flex card or anything special so I wouldn't waste your time getting another one of those. Personally (And this is only my opinion) the best solution is to get the Asus DCII 7970 http://www.asus.com/Graphics_Cards/HD7970DC2T3GD5/ (That Sapphire 7970 flex i linked you will do 5 scre...

Haldi is right, outputs on ALL subsequent amd cards in crossfire are disabled (i have 3x 7970) so effectively you only have 2x mini dp. These are best as they have the highest bandwith. Also im not sure if you need active adapters (if going to dvi) or if all passive are ok (i think so but check) wit...

If you did tri-fire a third 7970 is cheapest BUT will probably slow down on the pci-e lane (which apparently is not that big a deal but i can notice this bandwith drop with 15 monitors and softTH), depending on the mobo 2x pcie will run at x16 (amd or x58 or x79 chipset) or x8 (z77 or equivalent 115...
