Delphium sir you are correct, the monitor itself still reports 1080, I have misunderstood :? Why then could I not get this 1440 option with eyefinity if I changed my configuration to include a HDMI cable replacing a DVI? Shouldn't that give me better bandwidth... it was not as good with res options ...

That's not how VSR works.
VSR does the Up and downscaling on the GPU and only sends a 1920x1080 pixel signal to the Monitor.

VSR off, I get only 1080.
VSR on, I get 1440.

I guess the monitor supports above what is claimed then.

That is the thing... my monitors are Asus VS238H-P's and are only 1080p monitors so I should be stuck at 5760 x 1080. The Crimson drivers Virtual Super Resolution option is giving me the ability to use 7680 x 1440 ... above what the monitor says to support, and with these single link DVI cables.

Hard to say... This prompted me to try something. I have been using Single link DVI-D to DVI port, Single link DVI-D to DVI port, and Single link DVI-I (it says) to a passive DVI to Mini DisplayPort adapter. This config gives me the VSR of 7680 x1440. I switched out one cable to HDMI, then it did no...

Did you create a new group or try to?
Is this all from a single 290x?

Can you get it to work at less than 144hz?
I am not sure if they can do less as I had not looked.

On my setup the VSR does not do anything until all 3 monitors have it turned on.
So you may as well turn it off until you change the interface to the 3rd monitor or it.

Your 3rd monitor is likely the part not allowing the group.

what? How? I get a 9600x1800 with VSR activated. Edit: The Bezel Correction was a problem with my system. After a DDU uninstall of the Beta drivers, a reinstall of Crimson, a advanced Setup of Eyefinity and Bezel correction setup, then disable Eyefinity, set the Options in game profile it now switc...

Total res boost for me... with the virtual super res option. went from 5760x1080 to 7940x1440
Some games seem to not like it so far but DeusEx: HR handled it great

Not sure if this is the case here with these two cards or not but... I had a config recently with an older card and a newer card, became a hassle when the older card was no longer on the "supported cards" list. If I wanted to use both cards I was stuck at a driver level since if I upgraded...

Glad you got it sorted.

Seems there is a forced change from AMD somewhere and reverting may not undo the code change.
Used to not require an active adapter but now you do.

My mistake, it looks like 15.5 may have just been linux.
The previous version lists I am finding are not showing it: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop/previous?os=Windows%208.1%20-%2064
Did you try 14.12?

What driver version are you trying this with?
Does this only go weird with the screen rotation?

Seems you are having a similar conflict that I had. I have 2 - 7870's that I use in crossfire. DVI, DVI, DP to VGA from one card. My recent issue has solely been with linux but with 15.5 drivers it killed my crossfire functionality. I realized crossfire was off, so I went to turn it on and I went fr...

Yes some the 7970's cannot output all 4 channels at once.

Anyone know if a MST hub would allow this 4 monitor configuration to work?
