I over exaggerated its not 30lbs, but it is heavy.

My desk is only 3/4" MDF but I do have a brace on the wall and its near one of the supports on the left side.

My desk is three sheets of 1/2" MDF laminated together. The lamination makes it stronger than just a single 1 .5" piece. It's braced on the wall as well, with two legs.

The stand is heavy, but I've never had any concerns with my desk.

just a countertop type desk. a slab that rests on cleats on the wall, with legs.

Roommate just ordered one for his monitors since they have almost no degrees of freedom (no height adjust, no rotation, no portrait, etc.). My monitors are plenty adjustable, but I might salivate over his setup enough to get one myself.

Gotta share some pics (if you have not already) makes me feel like my desk is not sufficient now :D lol

I like how I used file cabinets for the legs, it emulates a real desk really well since its both support and gives me drawers.

I am not a wood work guy so no painting or anything I cheated and used contact paper, but its a pain to install and can be damaged by sharp objects. Bonus is that its water resistant though so protects the wood.

Man, I'd love to order one for my 3 24" monitors... but when I did the shipping quote, I got a shock:

UPS Worldwide Expedited (Days In Transit: 4-5 Days) - $209.37

Holy crap. I know I live in Canada and UPS is the biggest rip off in the history of delivery services, but still... Guess I'll have to look elsewhere.

Ottawa.

I couldn't find an option to change the delivery method to something other than UPS, which is the biggest rip off ever.
