Post subject:  FOV info for screenshots

Hello. New guy here.

I'll start with the perfunctory apology if this request/question is asked elsewhere. I tried to look, but there's just SO MUCH.

Also, a thank you to the moderators, as I know it's a thankless job. I appreciate your dedication to helping me get more out of my hobby. I first used this site back in the day when I switched from CRT to my first LCD and found it very helpful. When I decided to go eyefinity I knew where to turn.

My request is that you list the changes you've made to .ini files or what-not when you take individual screen shots so that I can try to get my game looking as good as your example. I purchased my setup to play skyrim and deus ex, and have been disappointed by the amount of fish-eye. I just assumed that with "eyefinity support" things would turn out looking better than they do.

As an example, I've got hayden's fix running for skyrim, but there's "world" and "hand" fov and I've tried playing around and adjusting things, but still can't seem to find something I'm happy with. If I had a "pro" recommendation, under an individual screenshot, at least I'd know that's as good as it's gonna get.

I'm not sure how much extra work this would be. I would think, tho, that if you had listed else where (where ever the standard place is) what needed to be done to make adjustments, you could just put those in (i.e. FOV 101, Hxxx, Vyyy) and let people figure it out from there.

Thanks again for your time!!

I think the information you are refering to about the fov adjustments etc for different display arrangements can be found in our games "Detailed Reports".

We try our hardest to create a detailed report about every game and also note down any fixes required for different display configurations.
You can find our list here.. http://widescreengamingforum.com/mgl

(you can also find it from the top menu as "Games" or "Games > Detailed Game Reports".)

OK, so for the screenshot of skyrim, no changes were made except those listed under "solution"? That's cool. I was just looking to see if there was any other special magic.

Thanks for the quick reply.

Yeah, I guess that might be helpful.

I'm referring to the comparison screenshots at the bottom of the detailed report. I know there are tweaks that can be done by changing FOV with the resolution and such. I'm just really disturbed by the fish-eye, but I'm getting used to it.
