So long for Games for Windows, this game sucks big time, can't even support all the widescreen resolutions and it feels like the fov is set at 70 max, feels too zoomed in.

Anyone able to play this game at 2560x1600 ?
Can't believe there is no native support for the above resolution, specially as Microsoft wants for this game to be flagship game for Vista & DX10 and they are stuck in past, with shitty res. support, not to meniton the rest of the game.

We need Fov and widescreen Hack all over like for Halo 1.

Yeah, aiming in this feels totally weird due to the FOV, but it actually seems worse than most games with the wrong FOV, yet this apparently has right FOV :?

Need a hack... feels way too zoomed in.

Now if you could help me solve the 4:3 ratio issue I'm having then I can see some cyber nip slip.

I went to widescreen gaming forums and they make it sound as if this has default support though the only resolutions I see are 1024:768 up to 1280x1024

I need a 16:10 ratio like 1280x800 or 1400x900

On June 16th, 2007 Lenard says:

Yeah the resolution problem is actually going to have be fixed by a patch from Bungie. They know about the problem already. Hopefully it will be fixed soon.

The author also provides a mouse stutter fix for those of you who had mouse lag like I did when framerates went above 100+

Howdy there! I'm a tester for one of the Games for Windows teams at Microsoft. I noticed that alot of you seem to have mouse problems :[

The most severe of these seems to be mouse stuttering. Thats when your mouse stops alot when you're looking around. This makes it look like your mouse sensitivity is very low.

This is caused by having really high frame rates during game play. I've been playing around with different frame rates at work and anything over 80 FPS gives me mouse stutter. 300 FPS and I can hardly look around.

Some of you have tried to get around this by setting your mouse sensitivity to 10 but that doesn't really fix the problem it just masks it.

I have a temporary sollution for you people by limiting the frame rates by forcing Vsync on.

Note: This only works in Fullscreen Mode.

Note #2: Also, if you alt tab out of the game it will nullify the effects of this fix. You will have to relaunch Halo 2.

The author shows how to step by step if you're new to the ATI or Nvidia control panel.

Attention: If you are experiencing mouse stutter READ THIS! How to fix it.

my max resolution with 8800GTX and 2900XT was always 1280x960 .. even if my LCD is 1680x1050 and works fine in other games.

Weird... I wonder what limits the res on some machines? As stated previously, I have options all the way up to 1680x1050.

This is a wild guess but I think the reason the resolutions work for some is that some monitors have the .inf files loaded in the device manager and some use "Standard Plug and Play driver" like myself. I have a Westinghouse 19" with 16:10 aspect ratio and there are no vista drivers for it. I've just emailed them and if they send me what I hope they will I can confirm this.

Any ideas?

Can you list the resolutions that are available to you?
