Maybe you have to fire up and play the game once? Maybe even save a game? Have you done that?

Also make sure you're looking in the right directory, and double-check to make sure you didn't overlook the file. There have been people who did exactly that when asking for help with other games.

Thanks so much for this. I just got my new Westinghouse 24" and this game looks great at 1920x1200.
Worked in both Doom and Resurection of Evil.

The options will show 640x480 but pay no attention to that.

Thanks for those instructions. Works fine on Vista 32bit SP1 after I updated Doom 3 to patch 1.3.1 and changed the properties -> compatability to disable desktop effects ("Desktopgestaltung deaktivieren" in german). Before I did that the mouse pointer inside the game kept jumping into a corner.

I am running it on a Lenovo 3000 N200 notebook, T2410 CPU (2x2Ghz) with Geforce Go 7300 256MB gfx at 1680x1050. Not perfectly smooth, but definitely playable and it looks good, too.

Hold on - there's a solution for unstretched TH (15:4).
