The .ini FOV change is not sticking for me either, I need to manually enter it every time I enter the game

Which value are you changing? The one listed will only change the 2d graphics, nothing else.

The in-game fov should change more than that. It resets like Oblivion did as well.

Try making the file read-only.

Is there or is there not a way to force the equivalent of the console command "fov #" through the ini file?

75 looks horrible to me whether its technically right/wrong or whatever.

***EDIT***

To clarify, making changes to "fDefaultFOV=75.0000" is saved in the ini but i still have to open the [CENSORED] console every time I launch the game and re-type "fov #".

*END*EDIT*

I tried this but nothing seemed to change.

fDefault1stPersonFOV=55.0000

Your best bet would most likely be a forum with Oblivion/Fallout 3 modders. The Streamline mod for Oblivion deals with the fov so perhaps that can send you in the right direction.

The Construction Set for F3 still has not been released however FYI so I do not know how much help you will get.

I didn't see where anyone mentioned this. Works great in 3840x800.

Wow - this and GRiD are the best triplehead "showoff" games I've yet seen.

Finally, something besides Crysis that can use these triple GTX280's!!

In your FALLOUT.INI there is now a line that reads fDefault1stPersonFOV=75.0000 which can be adjusted to fix the FOV for widescreen users to reduce motion sickness. Since no one has noticed it before I am assuming it appeared due to the recent update. For 16:10 I adjusted mine to 95.2000.

I found this topic that a patch was coming for all three platforms. I emailed gstaff (community managers who posted the news) about the issues seen here and with Surround. Hopefully we'll get a response and a patch covering them.
