5760x1200 still works fine on nVidia Surround - it's a bit distorted toward the edges, and the really Surround breaker still happens: the menus/HUD are on the far left and far right, making it a neck-ache inducing nightmare... :(

2560x1600 appeared to work? Will do some more investigating when I have time.

ok, thanks for testing. As I said it's completely broken for me. Won't display any 3D. Changing to 1280x800 fixes it but as you might expect looks awful. If it exhibited the same on your system it would be immediately noticeable without further investigation. I'm guessing there's a critical software difference of some sort between our machines since we're both running nvidia hardware. What's your driver version and OS?

Windows 7, kept up to date all the time (despite my better judgement, as I've often has Windows Updates cause issues in the past) and nVidia drivers 258.96. Newer ones don't seem to work for me properly.

Perhaps delete the Civ 5 settings files (Found in Documents/My Games or sommat IIRC) and start it up again 'fresh'...? Perhaps something is stuck in a .cfg file that's causing it...

Interesting, I have the same drivers. Though I'm running on XP SP3 32bit.

Need to try the settings reset but first I'm gonna finish my current game... on 1280x800. :P

Anyone else been playing this game in surround. I am finding the performance of it is awful. My frame rates are awful choppy, averaging about 11FPS late in the game. I have even dropped resolution right down and still crap. I checked my CPU usage and it does not go above 60%, so I assume its not a cpu issue. I currently have 2 GTX570s so I was expecting a game like this to be smooth with no issues at all.
Anyone else experencing this? Or have any advice no the issue?

Cheers Gareth

It's horribly broken in many ways, 2K forums are loaded with complaints. People are waiting for a patch.

Works now, however it will eat up your system. Would like a centered HUD, its almost unplayable at the edges.

Anyone know if this game works correctly now in eyefinity/surround? It's on sale $10 at Steam.

HUD is still at the extremities of the Surround/EyeFinity group, so lots of head backwards and forwards with the way the game is designed.

It's well worth buying - it's just not worth playing in triplewide.
