HELP!!!

I read here that the FS2004 was widescreen compatible, but in the display settings it would not show 848 * 480.... is this a limitation of the game...and I'm screwed...or what?

My card is an Invidia 6600 GT...on an Infocus 4805 Projector (native widescreen)...

Call of Duty 2 plays beautifully widescreen on 848 * 480....why can't I get this game to work?

HELP!!!

HELP!!

Help!

I assume, since you refer to COD2, that if you check your nVidia settings that you have 848 x 480 as an option? To be clear, i am talking about when you right click on windows desktop and go through propertires -> settings etc, rather than in the game itself.

Yes...I know what you're talking about...i have 848 * 480 as one of the selections.

Isn't that weird...I thought the games would follow whatever is in the computer setttings

The game looks nice on my TFT but does play a bit jerky? Why is that? My settings are Medium to low. System spec:

Venice 3500
Asus A8NE Sli Prem
2gig Ram
80g Hard drive
6800 XT 256mb Card PCI-e

Any help would be great. Ta

It looks like your system is basically prety good (even though the 6800XT is a budget version, it's still basically a good card).
I reckon that you are either a) trying to play at too high a resolution (even though you quote "settings" you didnt state resolution), although probably unlikely, b) you have a problem with drivers or some such issue.

My money is on b) but of course you would also notice issues with other games too. Try downloading a 3dmark benchmark from Futuremark's website (3dmark05 should be more than sufficient) and compare to others with similar setups, to see if you are getting broadly the same numbers. That's tell you if your system is set up correctly. If not, have you installed AGP drivers (ie the chipset driver, not the device driver)?

I put the resolution to the highest for the game! Is that wrong? What is the res i should be setting it at considering my spec?

Well if its slow just drop the res a few notches. I used to run this game on my 9800Pro and it ran fine, with lots of setting turned up (as far as i can remember anyway).

Still try the benchmark thing if you have the time, but a quick fix could be to run it at 1280 x 800 or similar.
Make sure of course that you have such as resolution available in your graphics drivers list of available resolutions... (caught me out before)
