I placed an order for the 37w3 today actually. I spent a really long time trying to decide what to do. I knew I wanted a larger monitor, but jumping from a 22" to a 24" didn't seem worthwhile, especially for the price difference.

Let's see here.. $850 for a good 24 incher or $999 for a 37?

37 please. Granted, the resolution is actually a tad higher on the 24 but I really just don't care. It'll push my GTX either way.

Game on a 37" Olevia 537H. Looks great. More immersive on the larger screen. Gotta get one of those cheap Westies though.

I will, I hope, be ordering a Westinghouse 37w3 sometime soon.

I am awaiting an e-mail from PCNation to confirm that I may return it if I wish. If not, I will be getting a Gateway FPD2485W instead.

I owned a Westinghouse 37w3....and loved it, until i started to get major headaches/motion sickness. So returned it and purchased the new 24' Gateway, I take back saying i loved the Westinghouse and put the love label on the Gateway. Its an HD display with component hook ups and usb ports and the coolest thing is you can pivot the monitor to view it long ways. oh and plus it doesn't give me headaches.

If you plan on getting a large screen like 37+ plan on sitting at least 4ft away.

Bummer about the headaches. Are you sure it was in 1080p mode? (1920x1080@60hz). I know that the nvidia driver always tries to run the display in 1080i (1920x1080@30hz) which makes the images "shimmery" and it gives me a headache.

Ironically I went from a 24" 2405 to the 37" Westy and I love the Westy for not just its size, but its response times seem to be better. I do agree that you can't sit closer than 3' from the screen.

PCNation does returns for it. Yay. ^_^

I do not plan to return it, but it is a nice "just-in-case" thing. If I do not like it as a monitor, I will just put it in my living room, I only have like a 27" fatty (as in, not LCD/Plasma) in there.

Hmm I just sent them an email about the westy to see if they do returns for dead pixels. Is that what you asked them in specific or if they just do "returns"

I'm ready to hit the buy button any moment now when I find out.

Im gonna be pretty close to my screen most of the time since its gonna be on my small desk :/ but most of the time im watching movies or somthing on my computer and then im several feet away.

But like the person above said. Why pay 800$ for a 24" when its 1000 for a 37" ??? Even if it is just abit too big, I also just plan to make it my new TV in the living room down the road if need be.

[quote]Uh... http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/node/6855 ;)

Best gaming monitor I've seen, period.

Seconded. Amazing monitor.

Well call that ... Uh "Thirdeded" lol

I got mine and its flawless, I notice no loss in quality at all going from a "regular" computer monitor to a HDTV as a monitor. 1920x1080 is a great res for 37" but you need about 3ft of distance to see it, closer and you will be turning your head to see things, in about the 1-1.5ft range you may even see the "screen door" effect if you have good eyes and look at some solid colors.

The Westy is actually not a TV its a Monitor, to call it one would be wrong.
