As long as it doesn't have five million identical physics puzzles in it (Oh! Look! Shiny! Physics!) and, as I said, the AI doesn't suck... Left4Dead can't really go wrong.

Using the Source engine, it should run pretty well on even fairly low hardware. :)

...

I might well be up for some Co-Op when L4D arrives... and this is coming from someone who generally doesn't like multiplayer games (although I suppose technically Co-Op can be interpreted differently...)

L4D makes me foam from the mouth.

I preordered farcry 2 on steam during the time they were bundling far cry 1 with it. I also am very excited for left4dead. WSGF left4dead night!

I thought the peeps in L4D actually were infected with a strain of rabies. I can't site where I heard that. But a quick check on wiki tells me that there has been no mention to the opposition being zombies.

The Preview says zombies quite a lot.

I just went with that. Until I know otherwise, it's a good a possibility as any other.

Well i weren't gonna post because its becoming pretty off-topic lol, but L4D is THE game I'm most looking forward to and I'm hoping it will revive my passion in multiplayer again.

And they are all zombies chasing after you - 4 survivors trying to make it out alive. If one of you gets bitten/eaten/mauled/touched inappropriately, then you become one of the zombies. Anyone (if you allow it) can join in your MP game as one of the zombies against you as well, so you could be fighting against a mix of AI and real people all the time. Doing this with your mates on ts2/vent/whatever shines a whole new light on screaming like a girl with 3 other men at 2am.

I still don't really get the whole MMORPG addiction some people have. A mate of mine invited me for a 10 days trial of WoW and I tried that. I got seriously bored after about an hour playing that game.

Nah, I'm getting more excited about Fable II by the day. I seriously can't wait for that game. :P

And many of us will be happy to hear that Fallout 3 ships sans DRM :)

Yes! :D I was never really enjoying it tbh - just addicted. But I happily fooked it off about a month or so ago now and I don't miss it in the slightest and am praying that when WOTLK is released I have the power to resist!!
