BTW I played a lot today with GoW and I noticed that when I change the FOV, it seems to remove the small zoom that the aiming button adds when you hold it. At least it seemed to do it for me anyway.
Mine still zooms a little when I use the aiming button and I'm using FOV of 130 for TH.

Im sorry you're right, it still zooms for me too; I meant to say that it doesnt zoom a lot, and its not nearly as useful as the zoom with the unmodified FOV.

Here are the comparisons:

No FOV change:

FOV 90.40

FOV 74.12

Because that's what it is. :P Open the console and type: fov 80. It won't change, because it's the default FOV.

lol yes I did notice that "FOV 80" makes the FOV stay the same, so it most likely means that its the default one;

But I'm wondering why you "assigned" the default FOV 80 to the 16:9 ratio and calculated the other ones based on this, since when I type "FOV 80" in 16:10 and 4:3, they both stay the same also; how come we dont use lets say 4:3 to calculate the other aspect ratios?

I say the FOV would be 80 for 4:3 and Epic just left it for 16:9 and 16:10
and ... yeah there are lots of FOV entries in the configs ... could maybe fix that little zoom when aiming ...

It's default 80 for 16:9. The game was designed for 16:9. That is why 4:3 is Vert+. :)

Thats what Ive been wondering from the start, where is it mentionned that the game was designed for 16:9? Is it on the box label :roll:;) ?

Anyway, I havent gotten around to installing this yet but does anyone know how LAN works? Do we have to sign into xbox live? Do we have to have Xbox live gold?

Haven't tested LAN yet. Yes, you have to be signed in to Windows Live. No, you do not need gold to play the game. (Although, I haven't tried multiplayer yet, I don't know if that's needed for MP or not.)

Wait... so if we have a bunch of PCs in a friends garage for a Lan, we HAVE to all connect to the net to play againsts guys less than a meter away from each other? :(
