Using Steam version, Vista x86 Business, 8800GTS (drivers v163.44 Bioshock beta):
Works perfectly.

Thanks you so much!

Now that the head fatigue has been fixed, can you make a patch for my sore wrists?

I take your point, and I agree with you about the backlash, but comparing poor widescreen support with, well, murder is, in my humble opinion, just a bit much.

Heh, I definitely did not mean to equate the act with murder , but rather to simply use it as an analogy. Ie. Just because you say sorry and "Make up" does not completely erase the previous wrong.

It would have probably been better to go with "theft" instead, and then being forced to make repairations (pay damages) etc. If I steal your car, but then bring it back the next day and apologize, yes I've "done the right thing", but it certainly doesn't make what I did ok.

The only point I was trying to make is that, while yes they are taking steps to correct the problem, it doesn't erase the fact that they caused it in the first place, and it took all this commotion to get them to step up and "do the right thing".

I just always take a bit of issue for companies being "applauded" for making amends for their mistakes. Yes we should encourage that, but it's always better to not make the mistakes in the first place.

Great about the DX fix (for those that can't wait). I still haven't installed the full game but with the DX10 'fix' and the 'promise' of activation removal in the future i may just bite the bullet now and unwrap that sucker.

Demo was deleted days ago so i'd like to test the full game in DX10 even if it does end up running slower.

Thank you thank you Racer_S!! Works great!!

The DirectX9 tag on my system was NOT an option for me. The game was completely unstable with DirectX9l enabled and crashed usually by the second fight with 'client not responding' or 'client did not close properly.'

DirectX10 works great and is stable with this hack.

Bah didn't see this thread had grown, thanks for the tip Painman, I'll definitely be using that. Only problem I found with alt-tabbing out is sometimes it seems to glitch up and when you hit escapes it minimizes every time.

only paddy tested it, so let me know if it works for you

Confirmed with Vista64 and Directx 10 via 8800GTX! Forcing dx9 with v1.1 of your patch was crashing out my game and causing graphical glitches, this works great! Thank you Racer_S! :D
