In case you missed it, id Software has recalled the Quake 4 1.1 patch as "There is a problem with the widescreen functionality that may harm a user's monitor". If you have the patch installed it is recommended that you neither enable or disable the widescreen support. An updated patch is expected soon.

Hi, there already exist two threads about this

DON'T USE ... Quake IV point release 1.1 final or beta ...

Avoid the New Quake 4 Patch!

Sharing is good but more than one thread of the exact same thing isn´t nessecary :wink:

I agree ...

This is one case where a "Pop Up" window would have been a great way to notify the gang here on the forum especially as this patch can break our screens !!!
