http://www.shacknews.com/onearticle.x/41458 In case you missed it, id Software has recalled the Quake 4 1.1 patch as "There is a problem with the widescreen functionality that may harm a user's monitor". If you have the patch installed it is recommended that you neither enable or disable the widescreen support. An updated patch is expected soon. |

Hi, there already exist two threads about this DON'T USE ... Quake IV point release 1.1 final or beta ... Avoid the New Quake 4 Patch! Sharing is good but more than one thread of the exact same thing isn´t nessecary :wink: |

I agree ... This is one case where a "Pop Up" window would have been a great way to notify the gang here on the forum especially as this patch can break our screens !!! |
