I noticed 2, but wasnt impressed with the graphics - so left it alone, but Gothic 3 is looking really impressive in the graphics department - so im quite looking forward to it now, it'll at least keep me happy until Dark Messiah is released at the end of the month.

I loved Gothic 2 so I'll definitely be grabbing this one. Though I'm trying to talk my wife into letting me get another WS TV for downstairs (51 Hitachi has been sent to the basement! :P) so I might have to put this one on the XMAS list :)

As for the game... I'm just hoping it's not as disapointing as Oblivion was. I'm only going back to play Oblivion now because of the great mods that remove the NPC level scaling. Supposedly Gothic 3 is more like it's predeccessor in which you could meet your demise very quickly by tangling with the wrong baddies. Can't wait!

AFAIK it has a lot of Bugs and a bad performance. Moreover it doesn't support Widescreen. I cannot understand this. Gothic 3 is perfect for Widescreen. Hopefully some of you might find a trick to manage WS. :(

I played Gothic I, II+DNdR extremely intensive. It was a great experience and one of the best RPGs ever. But at the moment I doubt that G3 will be as good as its predecessors. There are also a lot of bugs in G3 just like in Oblivion. I stopped playing Oblivion without being through only because of bugs.
Due to open area without loading sequences on a 2GB RAM system the quicksave takes 10s and the quickload can reach a minute. A minute is defenitely not "quick". Finally the first goldmaster was filled up with so many serious bugs that most german gaming magazines gave no final rating. Now they work out a second goldmaster.

Im very annoyed about all these preview infos. I used to buy a Gothic game without question. Now I'll wait until WS implementation and some patches. G3 should be a great game but based on my current info I'm very sceptic.
Write your opinions when you play it. I'll then decide if I buy or not. I'm very disappointed. :(

Gothic 3 does support widescreen. I read it on their forums. It said that the game will support widescreen.

The first Gothic was really fun. I didn't like Gothic 2, so maybe this one will be better?

Really? Where did you found it. I've read all these threads and FAQs at worldofgothic and found out it doesn't support WS.
