Sorry if this is a dumb question but I am a noob to widescreen...

I just picked up a Samsung 244t to go with my new rig. I mainly play WoW right now and have a question about the resolution. Specifically, what resolution do I play at? Native for this monitor is 1920 x 1200 but I don't see that as a choice for WoW.

Can anyone fill me in? Am I missing something here?

Thanks for any help...

WoW does support 1920 x 1200, what kind of graphics card are you using?

Is there a thread on what system can run at 1900x1200?

I have a viewsonic vx2025wm. I love the monitor but wished I had got the 2407 from Dell. Since December prices on this monitor have gone done 200$ in Canada so now I'm really tempted with the Dell 24in monitor.

I have a Athlon64 3200 clocked at 2.3Ghz with 2 Gb ram, Geforce 7900GT.

The BIG question: Can I play games at 1900x1200 ???? I play WoW and Day of Defeat. If I have to upgrade something on my computer then I'll just keep my 20in monitor.

Yes World of Warcraft looks awesome in Widescreen and so does City of Heroes/Villains, Star Wars Galaxies, Everquest 2 and Neocron 2

I will never go back either :)

You should be fine. WoW is not the most graphically taxing game. I know that I was able to run it at 1920x1200 even on my 6800GT. It only got kinda choppy during primetime in Ironforge.

You will probably have to turn down the graphics some but outside of Battlegrounds, Raids, IF and Org you should be fine fps wise if the rest of your system is up to the job.

Should be okay, but your CPU will be a bit too slow for max viewing distance. The viewing distance in WoW needs quite a lot of CPU power.
