Ive got a 4:3 samsung 172X and I am thinking about getting a Widescreen 22inch, or buy 2 more 172X and try the Matrox surround setup.

The screen shots for the Matrox surround are outstanding but Im not sure if I like the idea of having the edges of each monitor breaking up the picture.

any thoughts? :?

I hate breaks in pictures...which is why my LCD's are about 3 ft appart. its really your call, however the list of games that support TH2G is limited.

I haven't tried surround gaming, but I think I'd agree with you and Skeeder. I'd rather have mere 16:10 than some crazy superwidescreen setup with a bunch of gaps in-between.

I would recommend you try to see it in action ... if possible have a go at it ...

Certainly don't listen to people that don't have it or have not tried it ...
I again refer you to the link I posted above.

@ skeeder ... do you have a TH2G ? ... if not ... have you ever tried it ?

TH2G looks incredible. Im really thinking about buying it with 3 monitors in maybe 1-2years, but on the other hand i have some concerns about it.

I don't think that the "picture-breaks" are important but can you handle all screens at the same time in FPS?

I think the 3 screen setup is awsome, but very much an enthusiast setup.

It requires alot of money to setup and alot of money for a good pc to run it.

I know im probably one of the most poor people on the forum so I look at the $$$ alot more than others might. But its a big investment to make. If you were say a World of Warcrack addict and thats the only game you play it may be worth it, or if you just want to experiment with it.

But for the average joe its probably abit much and would make more of a secondary system rather than primary.

Id idealy get one after I have a good single monitor setup. Say my 1x24" Benq and a new pc first, then later in life grab 3x20" cheap dells or somthing and try it out as a secondary system.

thats just my take on it tho.
