Are there any games that work well with dual monitors?

I have a 3870 now, with a 5870 on the way but only 2 monitors.

Dual monitors meaning the game is stretched out to both monitors? Or a game that will show two different informations on both monitors? If the latter, the only games I knew that will support that is Flight Simulator X (Cockpit View on 2nd monitor) and Supreme Commander (Map on 2nd monitor).

Either.

I googled for a few hours and mostly just found old threads or threads saying "but your cross-hair will be in the middle" or "the performance hit is too big!".

I got a few games working by using windowed mode and stretching them across.

Just Cause 2 worked great and ran well with a few settings turned low. The panorama with just 2 monitors is amazing.

LFS will span but it's really weird having just 1 side of peripheral vision.

Audiosurf will span. Not much to look at.

I couldn't get crysis, far cry 1, oblivion, sniper ghost warrior, or counterstrike source to span across.

I believe Burnout Paradise has built in Duel monitor support. Where your car is on the left or right and you have your view extended to the left or right.

Any game that can do windowed mode can do duel monitor. Try using ultramon's (or the like) utility to make a hotkey to maximize a window across the whole desktop.

I'm pretty sure there's an RTS game - a Command & Conquer, i think - uses dual displays fairly well, having info on one, adn the battlefield on the other. Really, i think it's about the only genre that'd dual displays would be useful for.

Though whenever I've set up my Eyefinity profile, i see an option for using just 2 screens. I would assume that using an Eyefintiy setup with two screens would give most any game the option to use the resolution.

I'll try that. Several games like Crysis will run windowed but they wouldn't let me pull the window edge with mouse.

The ultramon hotkey for spanning only seems to work with games that already allow you to resize the window.

Crysis and far cry 1 just ignored it. LFS worked but you can resize with mouse already.

As does World In Conflict: main game on monitor 1, tactical map on monitor 2.
Lego Batman/Indy/Harry Potter should span, and your character is never in the dead center of the picture (i.e in dual bezelland)
Split/Second + a pad + a friend should work, too thanks to horizontal split-screen.
