Just to necro this thread a bit. Since Dead Space 2 has been a success, the original is just as much fun to play again. The game fully recognized any Surround or EyeFinity resolution and plays flawlessly. However there has always been a wierd mouse lag in this game. The M/KB controls are a little clunky no matter what you do. That said, I got the best gameplay by forcing VSYNC "on" in the nvidia control panel and also having VSYNC "on" in game. That and I set the in game mouse sensitivity quite far to the right on the slider. With those adjustments the in game player's movements were smooth and quick and the game was/is very enjoyable. |

Slight necro... Anyone know how to get the mouse to not be so freaking slow in dead space... compared to dead space 2 it's like night and day. It's like moving it over like 1000x as opposed to once in DS2. |

turn off vysnc iirc or turn off vync in game and set it in your gfx card control panel |

turn off vysnc iirc This is what I do: turn it off in-game and turn it on in the nVidia control panel. I also turn triple buffering off and the number of pre-rendered frames to 0 and now mouse control is great. My only beef is that the aiming slows down way too much when "aiming down the sight," such that it is in a third-person shooter. |
