Tonight something funny happened on Alan Wake.

I watched a cut-scene where I was supposed to follow Sarah to the helicopter. When the cut-scene ended, the screen went black and then I fell from the sky as an animated pile of boxes. All the objects that were around me were invisible. I couldn't walk through the invisible objects. I couldn't trigger any events, I had to reload the last checkpoint. It must be a development sprite or something. It was fully articulated. I did note the dev markings on the textures.

I believe what your seeing is the characters bone structure, it's a construct that the main mesh sits ontop of that is then manipulated in order to give the character his movement animations.
