This may be an odd question - but are older versions of WSF available anywhere? My brother has an un-updated version of Modern Warfare 2 on his system, but no internet. The latest WSF doesn't work with his version (seems there are two mw2 sp revisions).

The inability to remove the crosshair is what convinced me not to buy COD black ops, so I was wondering if the same miracle was possible for that game? Will the current version of the widescreen fixer black ops SP plugin get rid of the crosshair? And if not, would it be possible to release a no crosshair SP plugin? If that's possible then I will gladly buy the game!

thales actually requested a plugin to remove the crosshair so I did one just for him. Since it seems to be more popular than just him, when I do release a new version of Widescreen Fixer with more options, I will add in the ability to remove the crosshair. I hope to revisit all old CoD games and add in more functionality for each one.

Also, I'm aware that there's an update for MW3. However, Steam has not downloaded this patch for me yet. I've tried to force it to update but I still remain stuck on v1.2.359. As soon as it updates I will work on a fix.

Thank you! Is there an approximate ETA for that new version?

Thanks very much! Doesn't appear to go back far enough though. Do you have any older than 2010? I believe mw2 was 2009, but I'm not sure which version of single player came on the retail disk. All versions of WSF tried say game running: YES (unsupported version) or similar.

They updated it to 1.2.361 and then rolled it back to 1.2.359, nice to know Quallity Assurance is doing their job, lol.
The guy with the 5:4 resolution, how did you fix your FOV ? i mean does it still look streched in any way ?

I just selected 5:4 in the widescreen fixer utility and it looks normal. It was really out of proportion before. I just look at the circle in the EOTECH sights, if it's elliptic it means that the game is still stretched. With the fix it's a perfect circle.

I do not have any versions older than that online. You can go into the settings of Widescreen Fixer and disable the option to show only the latest version. This should show every version of MW2 supported. What's the exact version of MW2 he has?

When Widescreen Fixer says Unrecognized, that's all that it means. It does not mean unsupported. It's just saying it does not recognize which version of the game is being run. The fix may or may not work still.

That probably explains why I still have yet to receive 1.2.361.

I've released a plugin for L.A. Noire. See the details in this post: http://widescreengamingforum.com/forum/forums/gaming/requestdiscuss-game-solutions/18152/la-noire-any-chance-fix?page=1#comment-235111
