Post subject:  Source HUD fixer / PLP / Scale HUD

So I am running 20x30x20 PLP setup, and I dont mind the HUD all the way to the sides, I kinda prefer it so that the center screen is clear.

My question is: Is there a way to slightly scale down the size of the HUD?

Here is a screenshot of my setup with L4D2, and you can see that with Bezel corretion, a small portion of my team members status bar, sits behind the bezel:


I am thinking that if I can scale the size of the HUD down slightly, i could get it all to fit on the left most screen.

Anyone know how to do this?

Hi, there may be a way to scale these in the .res files found inside the .vpk files in L4D2. as per the instructions here.. http://www.wsgf.org/article/wsgf-source-engine-multi-monitor-hud-editor-how-part-1

Or you may be able to find the offending player/item and move them individually using the same/similar method, I have never tried this so you may need to play around to work out what needs changing.

I know that TF2 has a mini-hud mode that you can enable using cl_hud_minmode in the console, no idea if this works for L4D2 but you could give it a try.

cl_hud_minmode does not work in L4D2
