The only time I get some CTD issues is when I am running Fraps. Otherwise with HaYDen's .9 fix in surround it is fast and stable. If I load Fraps just to do a fps check chances are I will get a CTD within 10 minutes.

Hello all, I've been playing a non-updated version of Skyrim along with HELIFAX's fix, because I cannot seem to get HAYDENS fixes to work for me. I've already tried to resolve my problem via this forum a few weeks back, because Haydens fix at that time (and also the new/current version) would make the game crash upon start up. I'm able to run his fix, inject it, but upon starting skyrim THE FIX shows that the games process is found, the game start to load for about one second, then immediately crashes to desktop. I'm running the AMD 11.11c drivers for my Radeon 6990, also, I'm using the 4gb loader, I have tried turning off UAC, and running all things as ADMIN as well.

The game works great with Helifaxs fix, but some of the map problems are limiting, and because I'm still using the first version of Skyrim I'm having key bind problems (can't use FAVORITES no matter what I do). I heard that got fixed (maybe) in the later version/s of the game. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Same things happens to me , I have a ATI 5870 running the 11.11c drivers and I have tried with and without a 4gb loader and All versions of skyrim with all versions of Haydens fix, all CTD upon start with the fix reading it as the process exited successfully. I was able to run Helifax's fix and skyrim version 1.0 and 1.1 but I haven't been able to play skyrim after that (I disabled the windows 7 back up to save HD space, really regretting that now)

Some other system specs: 4 gigs of Ram, I7 quad-core processor @ 2.66 5.1 audio system (set it to Stereo to see if that was the issue and no dice still CTD on Skyrim start) 500 GB HD 7200 RPM, Resolution is 5870x1080 No bezel compensation set. OS is Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. If I missed anything let me know.

I have a 5870 2gb Eyefinity 6 edition GPU and I am having issues as well. Running 4Gb LAA, ver.9 by HaYDeN, and 11.12 driver. Everything was fine until I updated via Steam. Should have just kept off of Steam and running it through TESV.exe -
I am going to completely un-install ATI/AMD driver(s) and re-install to 11.11
When it does run my FPS is so choppy it's not even worth playing. Settings are set to default (4.3 - high) with FXAA off - Inject patch, LAA (without it I get CTDs all over the place) and it runs, it's just unplayable due to FPS.
No mods, etc.

Hey all

I seem to be unable to run v0.9 of Hayden's fix :( Used 0.3 until now, but after downloading the latest fix, i receive error messages when trying to execute it. (Something about "wrong parameters" or "that I lack the required rights" bla bla). Thing is, I AM admin on my own PC (of course ^^) and UAC has long been disabled.
Can someone help?

Thx a lot

Long time lurker first time poster here, just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to Hayden and Helifax for their work on this workaround. Using Hayden's 0.9 fix plus the 4gb LAA fix and not a single crash since I started using the two together. Just wanted to toss this out there, as I found this http://skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3863 earlier, and they claim the UI elements they've fiddled with ARE compatible with super widescreen resolutions. Can't test it at the moment since I'm at work, just thought I'd throw it out there for people who are having problems with the workaround.

Cheers

@thales100

yes, i have reinstalled the drivers, tried older versions of the drivers, used the ini you posted earlier, none of those would solve the problem...

My setup is as follow:
-- GTX 560ti SLI (also tried GTX 460 SLI), same problem.. so I am pretty sure it's setting/software problem
-- driver is 290.36
-- running at 3x 1680x1050

thanks.

Please try to set AA to 2x or disabled, and report back.
