On my 16:10 laptop, Battlefront lists several widescreen resolutions in the video options, and they work, except they cut off the top and bottom of the screen, including the button to spawn and various things in the HUD when you're in-game. Are you guys not seeing the widescreen resolutions in the options at all?

I only see 800 x 600 and 1024 x 768 as resolution options. I sure would like to see 1280 x 720 so I could play on my widescreen TV.

I see only 800 x 600, 1024 x 768, and 1152x864.

No 1440x900. :(

What graphics chip (ATi/nVidia etc) is everyone using? And what driver version. Maybe it's manufacturer specific...

I've not got the game, so I'm afraid I can't be much help other than suggest the usual solutions. ;)

ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 using Omega Drivers 2.5.76. I'm about to try the newer 2.5.90 soon.

Thanks. :)

Anyone have it working in widescreen using that card, or nVidia hardware instead?

I'm using an ATI All-in-Wonder 9800 on a 2003 model Mitsubishi 65'' widescreen TV. So, because the TV does not have a DVI port, I have to use the special component adapter that came with my ATI card. I can only get the screen to fill at 1776x1000 at a 1080i resolution. Anyway, every time I start Battlefront, the game kicks me back to 480i resolution, even though I've disabled 480i resolution in the ATI settings! It seems like the game does not want to run at any other resolution than 480i. Anyone know of anything else? :(

ok, my first time posting

i was doing some investigation before getting this game, a quick google for "battlefront widecscreen" revealed this

From the guide it looks like you can either modify the vidmode.ini file to include the resolution you want, or simply change the command line that runs the game to:

battlefront.exe /resolution [width height]
I'll give this a try when I get home and report the results.

also this seem worth a read
