[quote]I was having this same problem.
I solved it by making a copy of my shortcut to regular BF2. Then I added +modPath mods/xpack +ignoreAsserts 1 to the end after the lines for my custom resolution. It loads the custom res now instead of just crashing to desktop.
Okay, I'll try that, but to make sure I understand:
Make a new shortcut to BF2, add the resoultion,
then add +modPath mods/xpack +ignoreAsserts 1 ?
Correct. This is exactly what I did.
My BF2 shortcut looked like:
"C:Program FilesEA GAMESBattlefield 2BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx 1280 +szy 768
I made a copy of that shortcut (Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V) and then added the above line. My SF shortcut looks like:
"C:Program FilesEA GAMESBattlefield 2BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx 1280 +szy 768 +modPath mods/xpack +ignoreAsserts 1
