in the con files when you change the res, you must also specify the refresh rate.

for 1360x768 it looks like this:

1360 768 32 62

32 is color depth and 62 is refresh.

your desktop must first be able to display in 1360 x 768 however.

i use rage3d tweaked for my 9800xt to enable 1360 x 768.

in your Videodefault.con filem you must also specify:
renderer.allowAllRefreshRates 1

OK, Question....
Path 1.4+ of Battlefield 1942 disables custom resolutions because EA says its "cheaing".

That is why I've been banging my head trying hundreds of resolutions in the last couple of weeks with no luck. DOH!

There is a hacked .exe linked in this forum for version 1.5. Is there one for 1.6.19? Anyone? I tried to use the 1.5 .exe with my 1.6.19 and although it let me run in 1776x1000, it did some wierd stuff.

Thanks!

Just curious but how can you tell what resolution you are using in BFV in-game. I am trying to figure out if these ideas on here work. I want to make sure that the game is not running in 800x600.

I think the newest patch disabled the resolution hacks. Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

Anyone having trouble reading the chat text?

I'm at 1280 x 720 and the game looks ok but the chat text is very hard to make out

1280 x 720 is my Samsung 50in DLP native res so it should be ok.

maybe I did'nt set something right in the con files.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I can't get BF1942 to run at 1680x1050, but it loads up at the lowest possible res every time I open the game. Anyone know what I could be doing wrong?

edit: scratch that, I just got it. Not sure what I did different. Is there a way to fix the text, though? It's kind of... blurry.

Can you run through exactly what you did... perhaps to iron out the 'blurriness' of the original?

Since I don't own BF1942/Vietnam/whatever, I can't be of any help in the process. :)
