If you really wish to use a custom FOV in v1.2+ though, I'm afraid you're screwed.

I did find the fov a little tight in this game TBH. This game got old quick.

Not for me. Great FOV, excellent sandbox FPS but hey - I think Wolfenstein is great fun as well, so...
Still, I wish adjusting the FOV would be as easy as tilting the monitor or pushing the chair back an inch. It should be a user setting among others, always.

Yeah, FOV too close for me too. Guess I'll just stick with 1.01.

It is something that should be a standard option in singleplayer games. Multiplayer has some additional complications.

Multiplayer is the worst thing that could happen to video games. Pour the need for consensus into what is fundamentally an asocial activity, and you get randomly locked FOVs, bogus brand-based "standards" and the triumph of short-lived consolishism. Humans killed my hobby. The Crowd ruins everything. I feel like hopping in my Unimog to smash through a herd of gnus. O singleplayer, Land of the Free !

I agree with this only a little bit. The general consensus amongst devs that a game must have multiplayer is a horrible thing. Most games that have a multiplayer component, shouldn't. Unnecessary multiplayer makes devs lose focus on the core game. Think about it, what would have happened if Dead Space had multiplayer? It would have been incredibly lame, and the single player game would have been worse off for it.

Well FC2 MP is actually quite fun!

But even worse than MP added to SP games is the other way round, UT3 anybody? A really really REALLY bad bot match thing being sold as a SP campaign.

Sorry to post here but you guys are talking about FarCry2 and I need a fix for DUNA engine.
I cannot get FarCry2 working with SoftTH but I have gotten Avatar the PC game working and it is on the same engine. Well kinda. Anyway I need a FOV fix. I don't know if I can use a console command for the FOV because Avatar so far does not have an option for the console (That I know of). I also do not know any command that will change the FOV in the DUNA engine either. Sorry to post here I am looking everywhere for a fix. I have a lot of games working in SoftTH but I am stumped with this one. The fix from Racer_S is probably close to what I need as it tries to hook ingame.(same engine) I hope/feel I am close.

Here is my thread http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=18287

I hope I am doing nothing wrong posting this here but I feel I need help from Racer_S or dopefish with a widescreen fix.
