Edit the system.cfg
Modify the line ... r_Height = .... to read .... r_Height = "what ever rez you want"
Modify the line ... r_Width = .... to read .... r_Width = "what ever rez you want"
Now ... right-click the shortcut to the game and go to properties. On the Target line and add ... -devmode ... to the end of the line so that it looks something like this ...
"..........UbisoftcrytekFar Crybin32farcry.exe" -devmode
Now you can change the fov in a game console with command ... fov 180 .... or what ever FOV you like up to 180.
Having to type ... FOV 180 after each time you use the binoculars or get in or out of a vehicle..... was driving me mad and made it really difficult to play.
So I asked Dave at ToCA EDIT 2.0 to see if he could make a FOV Hack tool so the FOV is correct all the time.... he did and it works great ... you can get it here ...
http://toca.game-editing.net/
Only works with v1.0 ..
I have done lots of testing and it is a bit tricky but once you find the right settings for you it's great... use Alt-Tab to get in and out of the game without having to restart each time.
Start up the game ...
Press NumPAD * .... to set the FOV.
Press NumPAD / .... to un-set the FOV.
